  • Blue Lake * (Croatian: Modro jezero or Plavo jezero) is a karst lake located near Imotski in southern Croatia. Like the nearby Red Lake, it lies in a deep sinkhole possibly formed by the collapse of an enormous underground cave. The total depth from the upper rim is around 220 meters, while water depth varies with season. In spring, when the snow from surrounding mountains melts, it can reach 90 m, and in 1914 it reached 114 m, overflowing the southern rim. The lake is a popular destination for hiking and sight-seeing. Maximum dimensions of the lake are around 800×500 m, but they significantly vary due to big changes in the water level. At the end of the summer the lake may completely disappear. In 1907 a road was built descending to the lake. Ein Traum! Wir sind als Familie angereist und haben uns vorher informiert wo das Haus steht. Die Lage ist hervorragend um zu entspannen. Kein Massentourismus, kein Verkehr. Ruhe. Natur. Berge. Super Luft. Das Haus ist gepflegt und sauber. Der Pool ist groß und sauber. Für die Kinder gibt es einen eigenen Spielplatz und ums Haus gibt es große Wlesen und tolle Natur. Die nächste Stadt imotski ist ca. 15min entfernt, dort kann man alles bekommen was man braucht. Die Gastgeber sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Deutsch wird von einigen Nachbarn gesprochen, diese sind auch hilfsbereit. Im großen und ganzen ein super Urlaub gewesen. Danke für alles. Wir sehen uns sicherlich wieder.

We hadden, met een gezin van vier en een hond, een fantastisch verblijf in deze vakantiewoning.De woning zelf biedt alle comfort en luxe die je maar kan wensen. Wij kwamen op geen enkel vlak iets te kort. Alles was kraaknet en mooi onderhouden. Helemaal niks op aan te merken. De woning ligt op een mooi onderhouden stuk grond, waar zowel de kindjes als de hond zich in alle veiligheid kunnen uitleven. De gastvrouwen Nina en haar zus zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ook tijdens het verblijf konden we steeds bij hen terecht. Reeds van bij de ontvangst hadden we een heel goed gevoel over de de hosts. Tijdens het verblijf werd frequent geïnformeerd door hen of alles naar wens was. De bakker komt rechtstreeks aan huis bijna elke dag, wat een enorme troef is. De winkels bevinden zich ook niet al te veraf met de wagen (19km). Een klein ritje, maar het mooie landschap maakt dit goed. De vakantiewoning ligt in een heel rustige omgeving, met een prachtig panoramisch uitzicht over de bergen vanop het terras. Dit, samen met de volledige privacy van het zwembad, is ideaal voor gezinnen die eens volledig willen ontstressen in alle rust. Met toch de opties om daguitstappen met het gezin uit te voeren.Kortom: een echte aanrader! Een prachtwoning in een idyllische omgeving. Wij komen in de toekomst zeker nog terug naar deze woning.
