"It was clean, tidy and very near to the airport for taking flights"

"This is a pretty good place to stay at. It’s all on one floor but keep in mind it’s up two flights of stairs. On the site it does say that there is no elevator but it doesn’t state clearly that it’s on the second floor. The bathroom was super clean however the floors could use some work there was lots of dirt no carpet. Would stay again if I bring someone to take my suit case up the stairs. The owner was very nice and checks on you throughout your stay. "

"Very easy check in and communication with the person who oversees the space. Excellent suggestions for restaurants (osteria dei cavalieri). I will def be staying here again in the future. "

"It was a cute place. They apparently have breakfast but couldn't find it in the morning. It may be at the residence next door. When you arrive, there is a bell by the outside gate to push and the owner will come over. I booked a room with 2 beds as it was me and my teenage daughter. the owner said we could only sleep on the one unless we paid an additional $10 EU."

"This is a lovely, clean place to stay just a few minutes walk from Pisa airport. There was tea and coffee and snacks for us to help ourselves and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable."

"Overall very clean newly refurbished rooms, unfortunately there is only one bathroom / shower area to be shared by all guests. Potentially you could have eight to ten people accessing the bathroom facilities. There appears to be four different rooms on the floor. If you are staying here you have to phone ahead to arrange the handover of the keys as there isn’t anyone on-site "

"Room was clean. Bathroom also clean. Shower didn’t have much pressure. Coffee and tea available for use during stay. Room was very cool and no heaters. Good location for airport took us 5 mins walk. 40 minute walk to tower of Pisa or €20 in a taxi which was a bit of a pain. Good value for a short break "

"Not so good. Shower curtain has mildew on it and the bathroom was shared. We arrived from the airport very late and gave the taxi driver the address. When he stopped outside we thought there might be a mistake as there was no sign and it didn’t look like a hotel. I checked the email which was all in Italian. It was 1am in the morning. However I saw someone else trying to enter the code for the front door and went in with them. I showed them my email and they helped us find and get into our room....

"Villa Alta provides beautiful history and art-intense setting, wonderful atmosphere and comfortable conditions for memorable romantic, family or individual stay and events. It is located very close to the cities of Lucca and Pisa, surrounded by the very well-designed and kept Mediterranean garden with the clean and beautiful pool aria. Our family enjoyed peace and quiet at the time of our stay. Food was great, too. We highly recommend this place. "

The hotel itself is good for the price, and while there are areas that could be improved, I won't go into them, as I appreciate that the hotel industry isn't an easy one. However, I did have one particularly disappointing experience, that I feel it's important to highlight, so that others don't face the same issue. "We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It’s a very modest, nice hotel in a very good area where local people live. It’s approximately 5 min walk to the beach. The owner has a deli store next door, so you can buy good food and wine and have dinner in the hotel courtyard. There is no breakfast included. "

"Very dated wobbly bed but was comfortable ,repair marks in room with pipes and wires showing didn’t realise the bathroom wouldn’t be in our room and had to walk along the hallway to use😱 Best thing about it was the cup of tea in the morning and a couple minutes walk to leaning tower "
