Charming, comfy, convenient and clean. Loved my stay - had all I needed, lots of light, enjoyed a few meals on the back porch, simply sitting in the peace and quiet. Didn’t want to leave.
We loved staying in the West End, so near everything but quieter. The condo was just the right size for the two of us, and it was a very comfortable place to stay. Had we discovered this spot earlier, we would have stayed longer. The instructions sound a little scary about bothering the neighbors, but we found everything and everyone we met very nice. No problems at all!
Great location, just steps away from the heart of Provincetown, which was the main reason we picked this place. Having a private deck was a perk to sit out on in the morning.
My wife and I sulfates here for a long weekend and it was a nice space for relaxing in after spending the day out in ptown. The courtyard in the evening was a nice touch to have a private space away from the road outdoors.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bear Cabin with a beautiful view of Lake Colby. The cabin was decorated very nicely with lots of bear motif. Having access to a variety of boats (canoes, kayaks and row boats) was much appreciated. The Adirondack chairs outside were perfect for watching the sunset. The walls in the bedrooms do not go all the way to the ceiling, and thus the lighting from the living room and kitchen area can be a bit distracting for those people who like to sleep in or go to bed really late. The hosts were very accommodating and responded quickly to my inquiries. All in all it was a wonderful getaway.
Overall this is a lovely, quiet property in the West end of Provincetown which makes it very convenient to the National Seashore beaches and dune walks. We had no car and rented bikes, which was fantastic. As described in the review from a previous renter in August, this property is smaller than what appears in the pictures and the living room and bedroom are within feet of the road where passersby felt a bit on top of us. But then, this experience is true of a lot of places in Ptown. The outdoor garden area is very pleasant, as is the outdoor eating space, and the grill works wonderfully. The kitchen had everything we needed and the colorful square plates were a pleasant bonus. The lockbox for the keys was difficult to work and needs to be replaced.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in
Great location, adequate space, unreasonable check-in / check-out times.
I found the check-in time of 4:00pm, and check-out time of 9:00am to be completely unreasonable. I have never heard of accommodations with such check-in/check-out times. Compounding this was the fact that the unit was not yet ready upon my arrival at 4:15pm. Management stated the time was needed to sufficiently clean the one-bedroom unit, despite the fact that they require guests to contribute to the cleaning effort by removing shoes before entering the unit, stripping the bed, washing any glasses/dishes used, and taking out the trash and recycling. I would not consider these requests to be unreasonable if normal check-in/check-out times applied.
The quiet location of this property on the West end is excellent and close to some of our favorite places such as Sal's, Victor's, and the Red Inn. Easy walk to Commercial Street while being private and convenient at the same time. The parking was nice and easy to get to from the back of the condo, which was the primary entrance (the front door is locked from the inside). The back porch is nice with a round table and although we never used it the shared furniture in the yard, it was very nice and looked inviting. We never saw anyone use that space although the property seemed full most of the time (except for the spacious upstairs). The person on the porch next to us was allowed to smoke outside and that should not be permitted at all. We only noticed it a few times. The condo itself is smaller than we realized. The pictures look brighter and bigger than it is and we were surprised by how close the living room and bedroom are to the street. People and cars go by and and are within feet of the living space. But it is a quiet street in Provincetown so not a big deal and probably routine for most of the small streets. There is one AC in the bedroom and it is small but very noisy. We found that really distracting and made it difficult to sleep. A few fans are provided to circulate the air and those did work. We knew the kitchen would be small but missed that it did not have a dishwasher. Otherwise it had everything we needed beyond that so was fine and made for a cozy stay. It was nice having access to a washer and dryer unit in the condo. The TV in the living room is very small but perhaps appropriate for the space. Seemed like a reorganization of the TV area is needed. Overall, the property is clean and comfortable and management provided a few necessary essentials to make it homey. We felt that especially now they did a great job cleaning and making sure the place was safe and comfortable. The location and outdoor spaces are a plus but it is small. If you are looking for a comfy space in a great location we would recommend this condo. The management company was entirely professional and provided us with all of the information we needed in a systematic fashion, although not necessarily personalized with a person.
We were very happy with the accommodations. The property was very clean and well maintained. It was exceptionally hot there during our stay so we were especially pleased that the bedroom was air conditioned.
The property was clean and comfortable with a nice private porch and a communal sitting area. Communication and instructions were clear. The only issue was the location - we didn't have a car, and it was a hike to get to the historical center where all the activity occurs.
Check in was easy and was great to get an email telling us it was ready early. We live in an older home so we understand off kilter floors but this floor was very tilted in the living room which would throw me off balance. It shook everything on the wall unit. The table on the outer deck was filthy though and i didn’t feel like scrubbing it down to use it. The bathroom is WAY too tiny and my husband’s knees hit the wall and bathtub. A tad dated.
