About this property
The Explorer’s Retreat • West End Condo, King Bed
Featured in House Beautiful magazine, this West End retreat evokes quiet luxury and refined design.
The first-floor sanctuary combines lush gardens, moody green interiors, a king bed with crisp percale linens, a chef’s kitchen, spa-grade Waterworks bath fixtures, Aesop products and a TOTO bidet.
Steps from Relish, Sal’s, and Perry’s, and a 9-minute stroll to The Red Inn, this retreat rests in Provincetown’s most coveted West End area—surrounded by beaches, gardens, and artful dining.
The Space: The deep green lacquered interiors, designed by renowned architects, create a tone of calm sophistication. By day, sunlight filters in through the surrounding gardens, giving the space the feel of a curated Cape Cod greenhouse. By night, warm lighting wraps the rooms in the cosy intimacy of an explorer's cottage. Every finish and feature has been selected with care to create a retreat that feels both storied and serene.
Sleeping: The bedroom features a king bed intentionally modelled on the Ritz-Carlton sleep experience—a new Helix Midnight mattress layered with a plush memory-foam topper, Company Store percale linens, and a Pottery Barn quilt. The result is a cool, cloud-soft, hotel-level sleep that guests consistently rave about.
For additional sleeping, a self-inflating, extra-tall, queen air mattress and bamboo gel-infused topper are provided to create a similarly comfortable setup in the living room. This bedding is stored neatly under the bed and inside the bench by the TV.
Bathroom: The bath is clad in green tile and appointed exclusively with Waterworks fixtures and a TOTO smart bidet seat. The large walk-in shower is stocked with Aesop products and a full set of thick, plush towels. Additional toiletries are provided for your convenience.
Kitchen: The fully equipped chef’s kitchen features butcherblock counters (cutting boards provided), a Bertazzoni oven and gas range, dual under-counter refrigerator/freezers, a Nespresso machine, tea kettle, blender, toaster, and full cookware. The butcherblock island serves as both prep space and dining for four.
Living & Workspace: The living room offers multiple comfortable seating areas, warm lighting, and a thoughtful collection of books, puzzles, and games. A smart TV with Apple TV and Firestick is provided. The fireplace is decorative only this winter season and non-functional until spring 2026. For remote work, the kitchen island includes built-in power access and serves as a practical workspace.
Outdoor: The front garden faces Commercial Street and offers a lovely spot to enjoy morning coffee among flowers and greenery. The backyard extends nearly 200 feet, with a garden path, a patio table, and a bike rack. It is serene day and night, softly lit after sunset. Please note: the grill in the backyard belongs to a neighbour and is not for guest use. Kindly keep gates closed to protect our resident rabbit family from local wildlife.
Amenities: - High-speed Wi-Fi - Window A/Cs in summer; skirting board heat in winter - Google Home (simply plug in; try “Hey Google, lights on”) - In-unit washing machine & dryer - Cleaning supplies and Roomba vacuum provided
Guest access: You’ll have full access to the first-floor unit. The yard and gardens are shared with three other friendly neighbors, though they are often quiet and private. Occasionally, a local painter sets up an easel to paint the garden—an unexpected delight. The garage is not accessible, but parking is available in the four metered spaces out front and in the pay lot on School Street behind the property. The entrance has one step up from the front yard to the front door.
Other things to note: - No smoking inside the unit - Pets Welcomed (w/ fee of $200 for one pet, $300 for two) - Check-in — 3pm - Checkout — 10am
- (VRBO Only) Note: If a reservation is cancelled and a refund is issued, third-party payment processing fees are non-refundable and will be deducted from the refund amount. These fees are charged by the payment processor and are not retained by the host.

Best location in Ptown! I’ve stayed all over town and this location is ideal- close to the action but tucked away in the quiet west end. For the vibe, picture a warm combination of classic Cape Cod style with clean, contemporary upgrades to the finishes- not an easy combo to pull off but done so well here. There’s a gorgeous old brick hearth, hardwood floors, high-gloss walls, and a rich, green subway tile throughout the whole bath. You’re going to love it- plus the water views out the front windows get you excited for the day while you’re still having your morning coffee. Easy-to-contact owner who leaves lots of extra touches you’ll appreciate. Forgot your contact lens case? Need sunscreen for boy beach or an umbrella for the rain? You’ll find all of that here for you. I even forgot some clothes in the dryer after we checked out and he mailed them to me! This property is set back off the street through a white picket fence with an absolutely stunning perennial New England garden leading up to the front door so if you’re outside, be prepared for everyone who walks past to stop and tell you how gorgeous the house is. One of the best under-the-radar restaurants in town is Sal’s and it’s just across the street. It’s basically impossible to get a reservation so I recommend just walking over and seeing if there’s any time they can fit you in. Take the time slot no matter when! Easily one of the top places I have stayed in town. We can’t recommend it enough and we will be back.
