Selva Romantica, Casa Daphne - Local Mexican Designer Condo
Welcome to Casa Daphne, a spacious one bedroom, two full bathroom condo that is in the much sought after Selva Romantica development in the heart of Old Town, Puerto Vallarta. Also known as the Zona Romantica and just steps away from Olas Altas and Basilio Badillo street where you will find numerous cafes, restaurants and the famous Los Muertos Beach. All within a three-minute walk from your home.
This sophisticatedly decorated condo features all custom-made furniture, original art, high quality furnishings and linens. The master suite has a king size bed and ensuite bath. Both the bedroom and living room have mini split air conditioning, SMART TV with Firestick Media Streaming with 100's of options. Both rooms open onto a beautiful open air relaxing balcony where you can dine, entertain or just read a book.
The Selva Romantica development features one of Puerto Vallarta's greatest infinity pools with views of the city and partial bay. There is also an adequate gym on the property to keep up with your workouts.
This unit also features a Telmex phone for unlimited local and international calling. The living hosts a 55" HD SMART TV equipped with Netflix and YouTube for your enjoyment. A washer and dryer are available for your convenience as well as a fully equipped kitchen.
Please Note: This unit does not have an elevator and there are several stairs to access the unit.
Construction Notice: Puerto Vallarta has become a very popular tourist destination that is now experiencing more than average increase in construction sites in the Romantic Zone. The construction normally happens Monday to Saturday between working hours, but there is no guarantee.
Check-In and Check-Out
The normal check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12:00 p.m. Our concierge will meet you at the property, give you one set of keys and inspect the property with you to assure that all is well. If you will need more than one set of keys or if you need a special check-in or check-out time please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Very Important! In the event that your check in to the property is after 8:00 p.m. or check out from the property is before 8:00 a.m. you will be subject to a $20.00 USD (twenty) fee which must be paid to our Concierge upon arrival or departure.
In the event that your check in to the property is after 11:00 p.m. or check out from the property is before 6:00 a.m. you will be subject to a $40.00 USD (forty) fee which must be paid to our Concierge upon arrival or departure.
Be advised that this private property does not have 24-hour staff and therefore we are unable to provide check in or out services between 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Please make your arrangements according to this policy.
Our Concierge team must attend other check in's/out's and therefore it's extremely important for you to be punctual for the scheduled check in/out times. If you are delayed more than 30 minutes of the stipulated time you will be subject to a $20.00 USD (twenty) fee which must be paid to our Concierge upon arrival or departure.
Cancellation Policy Reservations cancelled more than 60 days before the arrival date will receive an 100% refund of the initial deposit. All cancellations less than 60 days before the arrival date will not receive a refund unless we are able to re-rent the unit. Forfeited deposits will be refunded in an amount equal to that re-rental, not to exceed the amount of the forfeited deposit. In addition, there will be no refunds due to weather, construction, loud neighbors or natural disasters.
Property Policy • The condo will be clean prior to your arrival and cleaned weekly during your stay. Additional cleaning may be arranged (at your expense) with the concierge for 250 pesos per visit. • We try to leave adequate paper products and cleaning supplies for your convenience but if they run out, you are responsible for providing your own. You may use whatever condiments and spices that are available in the kitchen. • There are two beach towels available for your use outside the condo and at least four sets of bath towels for use inside. Please do not take bath towels to the pool or beach. • Our homeowner’s association requires that no breakable containers be used by the pool (non-breakable beverage containers are provided) and that no clothes or towels be hung from the windows or railings. • Lost keys mean the locks must be replaced at your expense. Please contact the concierge if keys are lost for a replacement. • Please minimize your use of the A/C, not leaving it on when you leave, or operating it with doors and windows open.
Hold Harmless The property owners will be held harmless for any problems, injuries, loss or damage to the property or to any persons occupying the rental property. Problems relating to construction and construction noises are not controllable by the property owners and we will in no way be held responsible. Number of Guests The number of guests shown at the end of the agreement is the maximum allowed to occupy the rental property. If you exceed the max capacity of the unit you will be asked to leave the property immediately without any refund including the security deposit if applicable. Children Policy Absolutely NO children allowed in the condo unless agreed upon in writing by the owner. Pet Policy Absolutely NO pets allowed on the property. Lost and Found The owners of Casa Daphne at Selva Romantica are not responsible for forgotten, lost, damaged or stolen personal items. Should any guest forget or loose personal belongings at a property, and if recovered, the item will be kept in a designated lost and found area for a period of thirty (30) days after the checkout date. We will ship items back at the owner's expense. At the end of thirty (30) days any item not claimed will be donated to a local charity or discarded. General Rules and Policies For security reasons and to ensure better coexistence with other owners and guests, we inform you of the following regulations that you and your companion must meet while staying within the facility. You agree to comply fully and failure to do so will result in the staff of these condos that you leave the facilities without refund. • Smoking is not permitted inside or outside this unit. A smoking fee of $200.00 USD will be charged for violation of this policy. • The use or sale of any drug is prohibited. • No loud music or noise at any time of day within the property or communal areas is allowed. • The renters are not allowed to receive visitors or guests. (Unless prior written agreement with the owner). • It is not permitted to reserve loungers and pool furniture. • Any form of exhibitionism including nudity and erotic acts are prohibited in view of other guests and communal areas. • In case of any situation with other owners, guests or property staff please immediately contact Mavy/Concierge, PRM Property Management as your representative to follow up.

This place is exactly as described. Great location within walking distance to everything (beach, shops, restaurants, pharmacy). We would definitely stay here again. There are some stairs to climb to get to the unit but not bad.

A tastefully furnished condo with lots of Mexican charm, clean, well equipped and maintained. We we also very pleased with fast and reliable Internet. Both the host and on site manager are welcoming and quick to respond. Selva Romanica has the best location in town with walking distance to many restaurants, shops and the beach.
Thanks Mark for sharing your lovely home at Selva Romántica. We appreciated the quality, luxury, style, and thoughtfulness of everything at Casa Daphne - it was a super comfortable relaxing stay. The apartment is situated ideally in quieter, private corner of building for green lushness, birds, nice cross breezes and morning sun, but so close to the ‘Zone’ for dining, shopping, and yes, some nighttime PV action. We loved dining on the balcony mornings and evenings. Two flights of steps up to beautiful pool, and two flights down to the street. Favourite bakery right around the corner. Just bring clothes and unpack, Mark has absolutely everything else covered, and I mean everything. Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed!
Great location and a lot of stairs. Our building didn’t have an elevator. This plus the humidity made for great cardio!! Right in the middle of it all. Highly recommend.
We could not be happier with our stay at Casa Daphne. Extremely well cared for, clean, and comfortable. The outdoor patio was perfect for morning coffee! We really liked having the French doors open at night and were able to enjoy the breeze. The location is truly minutes from the beach and restaurants. I highly recommend this property. Mark, the owner, could not have been more gracious! Thank you, we will be staying again.
We loves our stay at Mark's condo, everything was as promised, his communication with us was fantastic and timely. He has a property Manager who meet us at the building which was really helpful, Mavy is a keeper. She was our go to person and was incredible helpful. We are already talking about returning to this property very clean, safe and lovely. Love the pool and small gym area too. You will love your stay here, walking distance to everything, we loved it.
This property offers everything you could possibly need during your stay in Puerto Vallarta. The owners really considered everything- from toiletries you may have forgotten to anything you may need in the kitchen or laundry room- it’s there for you.
When we mentioned we were foodies, Mark went above and beyond and gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants and turned us on to the fact that it was Restaurant Week in Puerto Vallarta- what luck!

The apartment is great and a very nice place to stay. Unfortunately let down by loud club music at night. I stayed Monday to Friday and there was loud music until about 2am every night. Hard to sleep, even with ear plugs.
We had such a wonderful stay at Los Mango #5!!! Our condo honestly was perfect! The bed was sooo comfortable (this is a rare thing) !!! The condo was far enough away from the noise and nightlife.. yet close enough to enjoy Old Town Puerto Vallarta.. all the essentials plus plenty of extras! I can tell you we have rented other condos and this is by far the best.. Thank you Mavy for your help checking in and for all your kindness while we were staying. She’s a gem!! Blessings to the owner for all the attention to detail which made it so special!!
Beautiful, amazing property in the heart of Zona Romantica
I highly recommend staying at this beautiful villa. First off, Mark is an amazing host. I kept wanting to extend my stay which he was extremely flexible with. He was communicative and prompt. The check-in and our process was seamless. The villa is gorgeous and has everything you could need l: washer dryer, high speed internet, gym, the most comfortable bed and linens with and a full kitchen. The infinity pool is breath taking with amazing views. The property manager is extremely friendly, prompt and made the whole process extremely easy. Also, the grounds are gated and extremely safe and secure. I would definitely stay here next time I’m in PV.
Such a charming place and so well appointed, and such beautiful tile floors.
So much light with all the windows and doors that open up. The patio was lovely too... we had heard lots of really nice things about the bed, honestly it was a savior. We were very ill for 3 days and could hardly get out of bed and it was so comfortable and the fact that we could black out the rest of the world really made it better.
Surprised at all the little details, the hand vacuum, the lint roller, iron and ironing board, the wave sound machine near the bed, tons of hangers ( which I never see) just a lot of really nice little touches.
So great to have the washer and dryer too.
We didn't cook at home but the kitchen looked like it had everything.
The hot tub was being repaired while we were there so we weren't able use it but other than than it was really perfect.
Just lovely and a great location
The unit was very well equipped. It came with the conveniences of home. Given we had a washer and dryer we could have packed 30% less clothing. The property pool area, gym and gardens were a nice to have and were excellent. Also the property is gated with security personnel so we felts extra safe
The property is central to all that the romantic zone offers. So bars, restaurants, banks, stores, beach and the malecon were easy walking distance. The bars can be lively at night but between the noise machine in the unit and ac it was not an issue. A suggestion is to bring ear plugs if someone feels they are more sensitive to music. This is not a slight on the unit or the property, it is just the reality of being in an active, central location.
Overall, the experience was great!!! The people within the complex were friendly. Many were repeat visitors who openly provided tips regarding things to do, what and where to find the favorite or popular restaurants, bars, markets etc. Also Mavy the property manager was excellent to deal with and was attentive to our needs and or questions. She also ordered the taxi for our departure and was good to communicate via WhatsApp, text or phone.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The unit was very clean, towels fresh and fluffy, bed very comfortable, and the unit was well stocked with ie. paper towel and toilet paper so that you never had to worry about running out. The unit had filtered tap water that we trusted and drank without problems (they had testing results available). There is even a washer and dryer with detergent that proved useful on the day we had a large downpour and our clothes got wet. We didn't use the rooftop pool as we prefer the nearby beaches but the pool looked clean and convenient with plenty of lounge chairs.
Despite the multitude of construction in the city, we found the unit quiet. The unit also stayed cool and we never had to turn on the A/C during our stay. The TV's have HDMI connectors behind them that allowed us to hook up our laptops to watch our banked movies and TV shows on a rainy day which was a plus.
The location was particularly convenient and only a short walk to many of our favourite dining spots including Maria Baja (by far our favourite spot in all of PV for fresh seafood tacos), Fredy's Tucan for breakfast, Siam Cocina for wonderful Thai, and is literally across the street from a fantastic Bonito Cafe that features fresh baos, rice bowls, and rice paper rolls.
The only downside of the complex (not of the unit itself) is that one cannot invite friends/guests to the unit. This is fairly standard of most gated complexes in PV it would seem in order to protect the units from crime and noise. At one point we did have two friends who wanted to check out our unit during the daytime for a potential rental, but we did not feel like the guards would let them in and so had to turn them down. I suspect if we had messaged the complex managers they probably would have let us show the unit to our friends.
Mavy checked us in and out, and was wonderful and readily reachable by phone and text messaging. On our checkout day, our flight didn't leave until mid evening and Mavy went out of her way to offer an empty unit for us to keep our luggage after checkout time so that we could enjoy PV for a few extra hours.
We will definitely consider this unit (and/or others in the complex) the next time we are back in PV.
This was centrally located to everything! And a very short walk to the ocean/pier. To note though…it is at the top of a hill. We are walkers and absolutely loved it. We also landed later and didn’t have time to run out and purchase coffee. We found some in the freezer. We paid it forward and left another bag in the freezer. This unit was extremely well kept, comfortable, and so wonderful that we will be back next year!
The Perfect Spot and Most Comfortable and Inviting
We had a lovely and comfortable stay at Casa Daphne. It was clean, well appointed, comfortable and perfectly located in the heart of the Zona Romantica.
It was always a great apartment to come back to after a nice day out on the Town. Highly recommended!
This property is very conveniently located. It is just a few steps from restaurants, art galleries and shops. Playa de los Muertos is 2 blocks away. This unit is beautifully decorated, the common areas are well maintained and the gardens are lovely. The pool is well sized and has a breathtaking view. Check in was fast and property manager Mavy was very helpful during our stay. We'll definitively be back!
Everything about our stay at Casa Daphne was fantastic, and it truly added to our great stay in PV. The unit and property met or exceeded all expectations based upon the listing and pictures.
Location is excellent, with convenient exits out of the property in both the front and back. Air conditioning worked great, wifi was adequate, and the bed was very comfortable. Super clean. Excellent washer and dryer came in very handy (especially given the September humidity and rainy season).
The terrace is very nice. Pool is beautiful and it's great to take a a dip at night (pool open until 10:30 pm).
Communications with the owner and property manager were great and check-in was seamless. We will definitely look forward to staying here again in the future.
Mark has a Apartment! Centrally located. We were able to walk to almost everywhere we wanted to go. The apartment is beautiful well decorated and furnished with everything we needed. We would definitely come back! Thank you for a terrific time
This was one of the best vacations I've ever had. The condo was spotless: windows sparkling, floors you could eat off of, crisp white sheets. The bed was super comfortable; towels were thick and plush. I just can't say enough about this stylish little condo. The pool has to be one of the best in PV, with gorgeous views of the ocean and old town. It's a very convenient 10-minute walk to the beach (playa los muertos). Even the little on-site gym has enough equipment to get in a decent workout. The only criticism is that the days simply melted away, and before we knew it, it was time to go home. I can't wait to stay here again!! A++++ in every aspect.
Absolutely loved our stay for the 4 nights, Mavy and Mark were super responsive and helped with anything concerning the unit to helping locate Covid test for return flight. Def enjoyed our visit to Vallarta and hope to return in the future. Great stay in a awesome location.
