Property was very good. the check in and check out was excellent. Victor who helped us check in and check out was excellent. The lady at concierge for our room was tremendous. They are great with helping with entire check in and check out process. especially the guys who helped us with our bags to our room and also when we checked out. he was very nice. the staff always asked how we are doing. The resort is very nice and I would recommend.

This resort needs a major renovation. Either seriously understaffed or the workers are just plain lazy. Current staff needs to be trained how to be polite and attentive to guests. The steakhouse "restaurant" was dirty and full of flies with the addition of a small black bird circling around inside the "restaurant". Other eating facilities look dirty and bland. Food is very mediocre. We had 2 rooms in the building numbers 13. Both rooms (bathrooms and bedrooms) had black mold. Bathroom fixtures are very old. Closet mirrors in both rooms have numerous black spots/dots. We did not have hot water in showers in both rooms for several hours on two days during our stay. One room had cockroaches in bathtub. The beach is very nice. Overall, would NOT recommend.

Our vacation was wonderful. Traveled with 3 families and many kids ages 8-12. Everyone was friendly, helpful, hotel was clean and quiet. Great pools and beach’s. Entertainment was great as well! Waterpark was fun for the kids too. Would totally come here again! Japanese was really, really fun too!!

Hotel room was provided with wet floor in every room, unbelievable. Used towels to dry floor , safe didn't work at all, shower /bath was dirty. Shower head and faucet had grim. Food and drinks were below par , I can't believe how water down everything was and the food was below average. requested baby crib before arrival and about five times during the first day until they finally provided. Workers majority don't carevand lazy. J the "head supervisor" wanted to plz us with complimentary manicure and pedicure. They never booked the spa treatment and never took place, joke! I just returned back on 4/27 and couldnt wait to eat, drink, cleanup in decent fashion back at home. My sincere gratitude and appreciation towards the buffet waiter P N, WOW amazing human being. Was our highlight what this hotel had offered. Shame on the staff, fake reviews which doped us in going, shame on Management

This is a great place to stay and great for families. The water park is a two minute walk down the road so very doable with little kids. They were doing construction on some of the bigger slides when we went so it was restricted but my kids were too small for them anyways. They have a pirate ship water park area more suited for little kids which was perfect. The rooms were very clean as well as the grounds. There was always activities for the kids such as face painting, ice cream, games etc. it was hard to find them sometimes though. There was also a theatre with entertainment for everyone every night, shows were really well down. One of my biggest complaints was the fact that they came up to you on site, on the beach and when your relaxing in the pool chair, asking if you want to do an excursion. They are good if you say no but we were asked 3 times. Overall a great place and the staff is so nice and accommodating. Would return.

The staff was friendly, and its a great resort for kids. Taking off two stars for food quality and general cleanliness. Our room was okay the bathroom could be cleaner. The food was limited and did not taste the best, not even at the specialty restaurants versus the buffet, all were the same quality. I caught a stomach bug from the food as did my husband. My husband and child also got a stye.

It’s a nice large property. The grounds are well maintained. Pools are good and the beach is large and generally clean. If you are going for the waterpark, that was a big disappointment. Much of it being repaired. No notice this was the case. Kids can’t have long sleeve bathing suits. No warning until you got there. And the park itself is a long walk from the main property. The concierge personnel were pleasant and helped where possible. Restaurant staff and especially in the buffets were less than average. Didn’t look happy, couldn’t keep up with the tables and volume. There is a section between the property and water park which seems a bit of a ghost town. Nobody really goes there. It’s where the Dr, pharmacy, coffee shop, sports bar is. Seems a long way to go for those items. It’s very expensive if you need to buy meds, gifts, snacks at the shop. A basic small nose spray $30USD!!. Cadbury’s chocolate bar $12USD. Madness. Bring your toiletries, sprays, meds etc. If you are going for beach and pools then it’s a decent place to go. But there are better places for just that. We went for the water park and after the first day of being being disappointed never went back. That’s a big deal given I have two young kids who were dying to go there every day.

I am going to be very real review! First day - Scan the QR code when you get your key card, and book the dinniers asap. The French, Italian, Japaneese is phenomenal! Route 66 is just burgers - nothing special. The service and staff are very kind and friendly from day 1. The hotel room and hotel is very clean. The hotel is safe and no one bothers you to buy stuff, you may see a few authorized sellers for excursions, but they will not bother you once you say your not interested. The entertainment was great! The water slides were great and excellent for families. The food in the buffet was clean, warm, fresh, tasty and well organized with an assortment of dishes to choose from. The beach, due to mother nature, there was alot of seaweed and leaves in the water. I personally did not like that, but this was no fault of the hotel. The drinks were amazing. Due to the hotel being clean and sanitary, we did not get sick, and this is a big deal! we had an excellent stay and enjoyed every day!

We stayed in this hotel last week for 5 days, and it was pretty bad. It was dirty, rooms were not clean, we had constant gnats flying in the bathroom, and there was a damp smell in the entire room. In the restaurant, the food was pretty bad as well, with constant flies over the food, and there were big sanitary issues we personally noticed. Especially the restaurant by the pool was the worst! The plates and cups were pretty dirty as well. When we arrived at the hotel, their system was down, so we had to wait a really long time to get our room. People who said they would help us never came back to help, and we had to chase a bunch of people in order to get our room. We booked our trip through Expedia, and they said since we are Expedia customers, we would have a “VIP” breakfast. However, what they were doing was actually trying to sell membership. They took us to this breakfast place, hoping we would have our private family breakfast time, but no, someone sat with us at the table the entire time trying to sell something. I am really shocked at how this hotel can get any positive reviews like this. The only positive part was the person who was trying to help us book restaurants within the facility. We will never be staying in this place again! I highly recommend staying away from this place!

First of all checking process should be smooth howeve, it took 30 minutes for them to check in two families. Upon checking we found a dead roach in our room as well as an old bottle of water and a dirty sock. We were promised that we were going to get a free spa treatment as a service recovery and nobody ever reached out to us regarding this. Overall property is nice but just needs better maintenance as well as cleanliness. One thing is for sure, we are not going to be back to this one again.

The staff at the property were amazing! This negative review has nothing to do with the people working at the property. The food and and drinks were awful at best. The rooms were old and dinge. The beach area is beautiful but not calm and not to safe to swim. I would describe this area of the island as the poor/ neglected area. Also if you do attend this resort be aware of them constantly trying to get you to sit through or sign up for their "membership" AKA timeshare. They were constantly pushing for you to sit through their membership informational lunch. Also they have a weird situation where you there is no food option from 5pm-730pm unless you have a reservation at one of the select restaurants which start at 6pm. I would NOT recommend this resort to anyone. This trip was definitely a huge disappointment. I feel awful stating this because I know the people working need these jobs. If you go to the Dr stay near the Bavaro Beach.
