"This is a new property in Kastraki, which is a 15 min walk or 5 euro taxi ride from the town of Kalambaka. Kastraki is a small, quaint village at the foot of the monasteries in Meteora. There is a lovely family run restaurant just at the end of the road, and a bakery across the street. The rooms themselves are well designed, modern and comfortable. For a fee, ask about late check out. It’s very much worth it given the transportation options out of Kalambaka. I’d definitely come back again!"

The house indeed had a majestic view, with even an attached sun room/lounge near the entrance where we could sit and watch the sun rise over the rock formations. Nikolaus was also a wonderful and helpful host. He only spoke Greek and we only spoke English - but all was well with Google Translate. "Our first impression was that the vrbo site doesn't do it any justice! It may be small in places, but it had plenty of room for my wife and I. I was impressed with the look and workability. "We stayed here for two nights while visiting Meteora. The place is lovely. We had a room in the basement with a private bathroom. That is a must for us, and some rooms have shared bathrooms. The bed was large and comfortable. The shower was great. The only downside was that the window looked out into the backyard from the basement. That made the room seem a little smaller. But overall it didn’t really matter much. The staff were warm and friendly. The breakfast was varied and delicious. We ate dinner one evening on the lawn, and that was very nice as well. There is limited parking on the street near the hotel. One evening we had to park about 100 yards away, but there isn’t much they can do about that. Overall we enjoyed our stay there. We would definitely stay there again if we come back. "
