"Yet again another great stay at The Corinthia palace. This was our 3rd visit. Lovely rooms, restaurants are fab. The pool area is very good. All the staff are great and most helpful. The hotel is in a lovely area in Attard. Malta is a great place to visit and you won’t be disappointed with the hotel as it’s marvellous. "Overall, our stay at Hard Rock Hotel Malta was excellent, and almost everything was perfect. However, the experience was seriously let down by the night-shift staff, whose attitude and lack of professionalism were extremely disappointing. On our first night, when we arrived at our booked room, we were told that we were being upgraded. In reality, we were given a room with a very poor view at the back of the building, overlooking construction work, with practically nothing pleasant to look at. The following day, we spoke with the daytime manager, who was professional and helpful and moved us to a fantastic room overlooking the pools and the city. This made a huge difference and showed us what the hotel was actually capable of offering. Unfortunately, our experience with the night shift was consistently poor. On another night, I tried to order late-night snacks and beverages, only to be told that wine was not available and that several kitchen items were unavailable as well. When I asked for a simple modification to a sandwich, I was told that they would not make any changes and that their only job was to heat up the products. The attitude was unhelpful, dismissive, and completely inconsistent with the standards expected from a hotel of this level. The most disappointing part was that this was not an isolated incident involving one employee. We encountered three members of the night-shift team, including two reception staff members and the night manager,"

"Location is pretty good, close enough to either go on trips, explore Valletta and near restaurants, bars or those wanting more excitement Paceville a short walk. Be prepared for building work, it’s not horrendous, just a fair bit happening in St Julian’s and very nearby. Staff stand out at the hotel in every aspect, very friendly and service with a smile everywhere, including booking taxis. Hotel is 5 star which at night looks lovely, maybe like some reviews said a little dated in the daytime. Rooms are well serviced if a little dated again and Spa is great. Think over the 4 full days we stayed in an executive room, we visited the executive lounge for snacks early afternoon and drinks/nibbles every day; there was an Indian lady, I think Pria? Her smiling face, general conversation made it so lovely to go there. There’s more choice for breakfast in Fra Martino and we managed a table outside every morning. If you like sun bathing by pools, with bars at each it’s perfect, we preferred the Lido and still received an occasional drinks service, There is a small sandy beach though in the bay if you walk a few hundred metres, just expect it to be busy peak season. Debated whether to give it 4 or 5 stars not due to it needing refurbishing a bit, more down to the advertised sea view. My main negative it was a side sea view at best sat on the balcony of 517. The photo showing the sea view is standing up and turning 45 degrees, sat down it’s a nice view of car parks and housing hmmm"

"Amazing hotel/b&b, location was a bit out of the tourist areas but this is what we wanted. Staff were so lovely couldn’t do enough for you - place was immaculate they cleaned everywhere daily… breakfast was good - hot bacon and eggs daily, toast and plenty of continental style options as well as tea and coffee and juices Pool was nice and clean and very needed in the heatwave they had when we stayed. Local area was quaint and pretty, lots of nice restaurants and bars if you wanted to explore without going too far into mainstream valetta/st pauls/etc - Lidl about 30 min walk away for any adhoc needs (room has a mini fridge which is stocked with cold water beer soft drinks daily as well, but if you needed anything else this was close by) Overall a lovely place to stay, well managed/maintained and would happily stay there again"

"If you pick that location on purpose, it's awesome. A little out of the way but I loved it. Feels like an oasis. The room was clean and comfortable. I took advantage of the spa and felt properly pampered. Felt they were a little stingy when not extending the guest-discount to all my treatments, it applied only to one. Never made to the indoor pool, sounds amazing."

"The hotel itself was amazing - the pools, rooms and grounds. Fully booked but still not too many people. Breakfast was great too. Other reviewers complained about a few marks here and there, which is silly because it’s not a new property so naturally there will be small signs of wear and tear but I actually think it adds character. So in terms of the hotel itself 9/10. Where it lets itself down is the staff. The lady who booked us in and served us breakfast was 10/10, really warm and helpful (they should give her a pay rise!). The other staff werent a bit elusive. Maybe because there’s a spa in the hotel, the spa employees seem to do their own thing and aren’t helpful but even the other staff weren't great (I wasn’t asking for anything crazy, just a towel or a bowl etc). Also it seems that day spa customers are given better service but not the actual hotel guests. No one at any point asked us if we wanted drinks (except the lady who checked us in) which is strange as we would’ve spent a lot more money in there. Luckily there is a store less than a two minute walk away that is really well stocked next to a couple of places to eat (a Turkish restaurant and a stall that makes amazing sweet and savoury pastries that were super cheap). Overall I would go back as the hotel itself is beautiful but they really need to sort their staff out. Like I said because the store is so close it wasn’t a huge issue but the whole experience could’ve been a 10/10 with better staff and service!"
