"The location is really close to a lot of major attractions. The area is lively as it is located right next to an opera house and surrounded with lots of restaurants. There was even a market on the thursday we were there which occurred right outside. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. "

"We were very happy with our stay and recommend Hotel Marais Bastille. The size of our room was fine with plenty of room for luggage, closet hanging space and counter top space in the bathroom and bedroom. The room was also very clean. The “view” of the courtyard was a view of the three sides of buildings. However, we were mainly in our room to sleep, so a view was not important. We were glad our room was only one floor up, since we were able to use the stairs except to move our luggage upon arrival and departure. The elevator is very small, accommodating two people or one person and some luggage. When we departed, we had to wait about 10 minutes before the elevator was available. Again, this was not important, but something to be aware of. We were very happy to find that the stop for Bus 69 that directly serves the Louvre and Musee D’Orsay was very close to the hotel. Our bus journeys were mostly trouble free, but be aware that return service changes in the evening. Our outbound half hour trip became a return trip of two hours one evening, because we had difficulty finding the correct connections. Two highlights were how quiet our room was and the service from Olivia who runs the breakfast room. Not only was our room quiet, but the neighborhood is quiet at night as well. Although the breakfast room is very small, the selection is fine, especially the apple cake that Olivia makes herself. She also serves lattes, etc., as part of breakfast. Olivia is a treasure. "

"Room was very tiny, especially the bathroom. You had to go to the toilet on a diagonal and the shower you could touch wall to wall with your elbow (would have been impossible to wash your hair). The room stunk like old cigarette smoke which made us light headed. Good location."

"We loved this condo. The bathrooms were excellent! 2 toilets with sinks plus 2 showers with sinks. We designated a shower and toilet each for the adults and kids. This worked perfectly and made the accommodations function ideally. We had a slight ant issue and the host was swift to resolve. One room is a twin bunk bed with a dresser. Another room is 2 twin beds smashed together to make a queen bed. This room has a smaller chest of drawers and a full wall of windows. The last bedroom has a queen bed with a small chest of drawers and one window. There was a chair that folded into a small bed in the twin bunk room. 2 clothing racks in the hallways served as closet. We also positioned heaters to dry our laundry. The unit includes a washing machine. Clothes need to be line dried. The table and chairs in the hallway allow for 10 people to enjoy a meal together. Both couches in the main living area folded out and created additional space for up to 4 more people.The trash receptacles are right outside the door. The condo is accessed from a private courtyard. The location is off the main road and away from noise. We loved the location! Excellent access to the metro! We walked to 2 markets. Le Marais is within waking distance. Groceries, boulangerie, and café are close. Bounce luggage storage options are close.We plan to visit again. This condo surpassed our expectations. 7 people were extremely comfortable in this condo. The lock box was excellent. "

"We adored our stay at the Diese Hotel. The neighborhood was very safe, lots of food options and bars. The metro is very close, around 2 blocks away or less. Even though the neighborhood is not touristy we found a majority of people spoke English and were very friendly towards tourists. The breakfast was very fresh and a variety of foods available. Filtered drinking water was accessible 24 hours. Daily housekeeping. The only drawback of the entire stay was the elevator. It broke down twice during our stay. And without an elevator our 6th floor balcony room was a liability rather than a pleasure. The staff was accommodating and helped with our luggage on checkout as the elevator was broken. We would absolutely stay here again, but would likely request a lower floor. "
