VIEWS: The front-row position of this waterfront home boasts uninterrupted views and an incredible close-up of Lake Wakatipu. From here, you can admire an impressive panorama including the famous Remarkables mountain range, Cecil Peak and Walter Peak. Three of the four bedrooms show off these outstanding views, expertly designed so you can soak in the mountain peaks and shimmering water without even leaving your bed.
LOCATION: The phrase `location, location, location` was practically invented for this spot. Situated on a peaceful street, The Art House offers a scenic five-minute stroll along the lakefront and through the Queenstown Gardens, bringing you straight into the heart of town. It is the perfect balance of quiet serenity and ultimate convenience. Fantastic restaurants, cafes, shops, and bars are just minutes away.
The Art House is 7km from the Queenstown Airport, and is an easy 24-minute drive to Coronet Peak for skiing and snowboarding in the winter, or its downhill mountain biking in the summer.
STYLE: True to its name, The Art House is a celebration of curated style. The interior is adorned with a beautiful collection of the owner’s original artwork, creating an atmosphere that is both intriguing and deeply inviting.
High vaulted, beamed ceilings add to the alpine character of the home and enhance the sense of space. It’s a residence that feels personal and full of stories – the perfect base for your Queenstown escape.
BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS: Three of the four bedrooms feature magnificent lake views across Lake Wakatipu and the many mountain peaks. On the second floor are Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3. The Master bedroom is spacious with large windows showcasing the views, built-in wardrobes, and a private ensuite with a shower (and even more lake views!). Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. On the top floor, Bedroom 4 boasts balcony access and stunning vistas, with easy access to the third bathroom with a shower.
All luxury linens, toiletries, and hair dryers are provided for your convenience.

*King split beds can be configured as two single beds, providing excellent flexibility. Please advise your preference when booking; otherwise the default is a king.
LIVING AREA: The open plan living area on the top level is spacious, offering multiple seating areas for groups to both spread out and spend quality time together. Sink into the comfortable couches to enjoy the ‘infinity’ lake views, relax with a good book, or simply get lost gazing out at the ever-changing vistas.
The front lounge opens onto the lake-facing viewing balcony where you can bask in the refreshing mountain air and listen to the soothing sounds of Lake Wakatipu below.
For your entertainment, the home is well-equipped with a Smart TV, free fibre WiFi, and a selection of books and games. (Please note that the fireplace is not in use).
KITCHEN AND DINING: The heart of the home is designed for those who love to entertain. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials plus those handy extras that make a holiday easy, including a coffee machine for your morning brew, a mixer, and plenty of platters for afternoon grazing. The space features casual bar stool seating and a convenient sliding window that opens directly to the BBQ area.
As a much-loved residence of the owners, you’ll find a true ‘home away from home’ feeling here. When it’s time to gather for a meal, the dining area is elegant, featuring a striking chandelier and beautiful antique furniture.
OUTDOOR LIVING: The back patio is a lovely surprise – private, sheltered, and surrounded by lush established greenery. It is a wonderfully sunny spot to catch up with family and friends around the outdoor dining table. Fire up the Weber BBQ and enjoy the fabulous indoor-outdoor flow from the living room; also take advantage of the sliding window from the kitchen, making outdoor entertaining a breeze.
THE GREAT OUTDOORS: With the lake and the Queenstown Gardens at your doorstep, The Art House is perfectly positioned for those who love the outdoors. The beautiful gardens offer everything from tennis courts and frisbee golf to walking trails, a rose garden, fantastic playground, and even an ice-skating rink. There is something for everyone just a minute`s walk away.
After a day of exploring the 150km Queenstown Trail network or nearby Arrowtown, return home to enjoy a quintessential Kiwi BBQ as the sun sets over the water.
OTHER PRACTICALITIES: There is easy access parking for two cars with a flat driveway – a welcome relief from Queenstown’s infamous steep hills. Please note that the garage is not available for guest use. There is a fully equipped laundry on the third floor, and the home is kept cosy and warm with multiple heating types.
RATE INCLUSIONS, FEES & MINIMUM STAYS: Rates are inclusive of 15% GST, premium linen and for a maximum of eight guests. A departure clean fee of NZ$425 applies. Bookings of 8 nights or more receive a complimentary mid-stay service with fresh towels. (Bed linen change not included; upgrade to a full linen change is available for $200 including GST). Minimum 3-night stay year-round, and 4 -7 nights during peak periods.

TERMS & CONDITIONS: - Guest(s) making a booking must be over 25 years of age. Any guests under 25 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of their stay.
- The Art House is a residential dwelling and no parties or events are to be held.
- Please be mindful that the property is located in a residential area and be courteous to your neighbours. As per Resource Consent with council, quiet hours are to be observed between 10pm and 7am.
- We are required to take a security bond pre-authorisation hold in addition to the total booking price. (n/a to Airbnb bookings).
- A standard exit clean is included with your booking; however, you are expected to leave the property in a satisfactory state (clear and tidy). Charges may apply for loss of keys, excessive rubbish, sorting contaminated rubbish/recycling, excessive cleaning or damage to the property for example.
- Charges may also apply for travel costs and management/staff time if for example, having to make a dump run, coordination of tradesman/repairs, additional property visits, shop for replacements, and so forth.
