"This hotel is amazing! Courteous and helpful staff greet you, including a resident cat. Breakfast is good with an outstanding view. Make sure to watch the sunset or the monkeys by the bar. Pool is a perfect place to cool off and relax. Restaurant serves fresh seafood and other offerings. The location is off the main road a bit so it is quiet yet accessible."

"The resort offers beautiful ocean views, several pool options, and great trails for exploring nature, where you may see monkeys and other beautiful sights. Overall, I had a great experience at the hotel. The only downside was a strange musty or mold-like smell in my room, which was a bit off-putting despite the room being very clean. A friend of mine had a similar issue in his room, and the hotel promptly moved him to another room, which he appreciated. While it did not ruin my stay, it may be something the hotel should look into, as other guests may be more sensitive to it."

"We stayed in room 206 on the lowest floor and had the best time! The breakfast in the morning was top notch! Coffee tasted great! The service at Shana was impeccable! We saw monkeys, iguanas, lizards, sloths, crabs, macaws, ant eater! We ventured off at night to the beach with headlamps and saw so many critters! We ate at EL ANGEL sodas (10 min drive from SHANA) AMAZING PRICE N FOOD"

"Hotel was ok. Very little parking, and if you can’t find parking at the top it’s a pretty steep hike from the bottom. Two very slow elevators to ride, with max capacity of 3, so had to often split up. One of our beds’ linens were not in the best shape. Floors are VERY slick when wet! Very close to entrance to national park, so that was a plus. And the A/C units made the rooms into freezers if that’s your thing. Not many places to eat within walking distance. Samui Thai was excellent, and they know what “Thai hot” means."
