Rain Forest Resort Village
8/10 Good
"We were surprised how clean and bug-free our room was, even though we were in the woods. I only saw one small spider. The property is well-maintained, but not very updated. Everything is rather dated--wood paneling, cheap pictures, not enough outlets, no USB. But I had my multi-plug outlet with me. Wifi was excellent. We were glad for that since we had no cell phone service otherwise. We loved the balcony and the view. The room has no refrigerator. We had our own cereal and milk. We put the milk in the small trash can and put some ice in it. That worked fine for almond milk. We really liked the man who checked us in and his dog. They were both very friendly."
"Charming rooms in a gorgeous setting. The walk down to the beach is nearly as beautiful as the beach itself. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It makes a perfect home base for exploring the surrounding areas on the Olympic Peninsula. For the price, it is great value."

"The house was lovely and had an amazing view of the lake! Beautiful location, quiet and peaceful. Not too far from rain forests and coastline (stunning!) but not close to many of the mountain hikes. Host was responsive and offered to let us use the kayak. Would recommend!"
"We only stayed one night on way through. Very nice and honestly want to stay for more nights next time to get more use.
My one issue was after the long day a warm shower would have been great but it was hot or cold and no in between. There was a power outage but not much effect on us."

"Fabulous vacation home for our girls reunion. The host gave us an option to buy fresh salmon and had it in the refrigerator waiting for us. Highly recommend. Would stay here again "
Waterfront Custom House in Lake Quinault Estate. Inside Olympic National Park.
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful setting directly on Lake Quinault, with easy access to the Olympic Park trails. The house was well supplied and had really comfy beds and furniture. The host provides great info to help you plan and prepare for the trek to the park so you can really relax and enjoy your visit. He was very responsive for any questions we had.We definitely hope to be back to enjoy the place again someday!About the area: The home is on paved roads, but to really get into the park activities you’ll want a car that can handle unpaved roads (our Subaru enjoyed its workout to hike both the Queets and Quinault rain forests and to Ruby Beach). Make sure to trek to the Salmon House on the S Shore road for dinner one night! Also, the Quinault Internet Cafe had cozy home cooked eggs and pancakes and friendly service."

"We only had one day at the location since we were staying on the trip in Tacoma. We use the spot as a launchpad to go to hoh rainforest and the tree of life. The salmon House restaurant across the lake is worth the drive"
Cozy oceanfront cabin on the beach with views - dog friendly

"Great little cottage right on the ocean. The price is good for what it is, but if I got renovated, they could charge up to 500 a night for this place."
