The location was perfect for visiting the south/southeast coast. The staff was lovely and hospitable. The apartment was well appointed and very comfortable. And the restaurant was great! I highly recommend this hotel!

This is the best family owned, small hotel, i have ever stayed at. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The rooms are clean and absolutely beautiful. The views are outstanding and breathtaking! My only complaint is that the hot tubs couldve been cleaned more often. Otherwise, I have zero complaints about this property.

Amazing stay! We checked in on our first day and we’re able to hike around behind the property and see the amazing views! The dinner was incredible! I can’t say enough good things about this place!

What a great stay! Easy to find with plenty of parking. Despite our later-evening arrival, the front desk clerk (who also was a waiter in the hotel restaurant) was quickly available, friendly and got us checked in right away. Our room was in the main building, not the set of apartments across the parking lot. Furnishings were a bit dated, but added to the charm. Room was large and well-appointed. Best rest of our trip! Restaurant was fantastic, with offerings that allowed us to be adventurous while having many familiar items too. Picturesque with great service, and the best breakfast offering we had in-country. We even used the outdoor hot tub for a late evening soak, which was well-maintained and a fun experience. Would definitely stay here again!

Great stay outside of Vik
Very nice hotel in the south of Iceland. Excellent hot tub with bathrobes available. Kitchenette in the room for cooking with a fridge included. Breakfast was excellent.

A good bargain hotel in the south of Iceland
I was visiting the south part of Iceland and wanted a reasonably priced hotel. Separate bedroom with two twin beds, living room/ kitchenette with TV, kitchen table with four chairs, sofa, microwave oven, electric coffee/ tea pot, toaster, flat top electric stove top, sink, real silverware and porcelain plates, porcelain cups, glass cups, black-out curtains, cotton robes for the hot tub, hair dryer, dorm sized refrigerator. Restaurant available on site.

Hotel Anna is a true gem in the country. The apartments are very large and comfortable, and the views of the countryside and Islandic horses out your window are very unique. The food is absolutely wonderful and satisfying. During our visit the dinner specials were Goose our Reindeer which we didn't see elsewhere on our trip. They also had regular fare which was cooked exceptionally well. Anna also had the best and largest breakfast on our trip. Highly recommend staying a couple of days if your schedule allows.

The most beautiful location!!! Area looks like a postcard! Clean, modern rooms and the staff was very helpful. A couple of outdoor hot tubs felt great after hiking. They supply the robes. There is a restaurant with limited hours which we didn’t try but could be convenient as it is in a more remote part of the country.

Perfect Hotel - Friendliest Staff - Great Rooms
The staff at this hotel were the friendliest staff you'll find in Iceland. Everything about this hotel was great. Without a doubt would stay here again. The lobby was beautiful, the check-in and check-out couldn't be smoother. The room where breakfast was served was just as fantastic with all kinds of artwork and history on the walls. The room was apartment style with a living area, kitchen area, bathroom and bedroom. The shower was excellent with lots of water pressure. There are a few apartments in each "strip" on the property. The property also has a nice hot pot for soaking and took advantage of that both nights. The view from the room was nice as well. No complaints at all. Perfect stay.

Superb place to spend an evening at. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Restaurant was unbelievable ... lobster soup and main course of lamb ... beyond yummy! Ordered breakfast in the evening and served in the restaurant at requested time. Room was very comfortable, quiet & great shower. Check-in was delayed until 04:30 but gave us time to explore the surroundings. Hot tub needed a cleaning & could have been hotter. Certainly would return.

Rooms clean & comfortable. Food very good. Staff very welcoming & attentive. Despite having pre-booked and paid in advance, we were asked for I/d on arrival and were required to pay for our evening meal before retiring for the night. I found the latter unnecessary and rather rude for a resident. I was told this was a recent policy following a drive-away. There are better ways to avoid this and they should perhaps consider what bookings they accept. Other than this bad taste, everything else was lovely.

We were expecting breakfast to be included in the rate but it was not. Turns out it was because we stayed in one of the apartments, not the guesthouse. Understandable, but should have been made clear at the time of booking. There are not many food options nearby. Apartments were very new, clean and comfortable. Included a kitchenette so food could be prepared if you planned ahead.
