"What a fantastic surprise! Hotel LOA is one of those places that makes you wonder how on earth it only has three stars. I’ve stayed in higher-rated hotels that offer far less! From the moment you walk in, everything feels fresh, clean, modern, and beautifully designed. The rooms are incredibly spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. We especially loved the views into the darkness of the Icelandic countryside, perfect for keeping an eye out for the Northern Lights if they decide to make an appearance! The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, and the whole experience was effortless, from check-in to check-out. The restaurant was excellent, and the breakfast was absolutely incredible, with everything you could possibly want to start your day exploring Iceland. What makes Hotel LOA so special is that it’s essentially in the middle of nowhere, yet somehow manages to offer everything you’d expect from a fantastic city hotel, and then some! An absolute gem along Iceland’s South Coast. We would happily stay here again and recommend it without hesitation! My only suggestion would be to offer room service."

The sauna was beautiful but small and was occupied most of the time. they had a boot drying service that was so helpful after a day of waterfalls! they also do a wakeup call for the northern lights! awesome dinner, and breakfast with the horses in the morning was incredible!"

"We really like the security code system used to enter and leave our room. The manager and staff were super helpful. Our room was impeccably clean. The close proximity to the spectacular waterfall made this an amazing experience. We were also close to the restaurants in Vic and found one that was excellent and just 15 min from the hotel. We’ve traveled to more than 40 countries and stayed at many hotels. If I could, I would give this hotel six stars, it’s that good. Finally, the parking was free, and the breakfast was included and had very healthy food options. Keith&Priscilla , USA"

"We spent one night at Welcome Holiday Homes while driving around Iceland. The unit had a spacious living area with a well-appointed kitchen. The bedroom was on the small side but good enough for a short stay. The pillows and quilts were small and not very warm. An upgrade to the bedding would add comfort to the stay. I suspect the location would be ideal for viewing the northern lights but we did not get to see them due to full cloud coverage."
