The hotel was closed when we arrived. The telephone number on the door was not picked up. So we had to find alternative accommodation. We understand that Coronavirus has been terrible for hoteliers, but no other hotel in Iceland on our 3 week trip treated us like this. We either received advanced notification of closure, with full refund, or some hotels stayed open although we were the only guests. We are trying to get a refund but so far no response from the hotel. If we get a response I will happily amend my comment, as we appreciate Coronavirus impact, but we expect fair treatment.
