Perfect Stay
This was our second visit to Hekla Cabin. The cabin was warm, cosy, lovely hot shower, TV and dvds to choose from. Small kitchen that does the job, beds very comfortable and that includes the sofa bed. The views are wonderful, it's just stunning especially when you see the Icelandic ponies grazing. Thank you.

Fantastic location, and the cabin was super clean, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we needed for our three-night stay. The landscape is breathtaking.

Stay there with my family with 2 kids. The cabin is clean and has all the necessary cooking utensils, cutlery to cook. My cabin is also well stocked with oil, salt, pepper etc. Able to park car right outside the cabin and hence convenient for moving of luggage. During our stay, we were very fortunate to witness a full-blown aurora display of green, purple and yellow lights. The dark surrounding makes it perfect to do so right outside the cabin. I left two power bank behind after check-out and the property manager is kind enough to drop me a message to inform me and made arrangement to pick up 3 days later on my way back to Reykjavik. Family and I had a wonderful stay.

Gorgeous sights of E15 and Westman Islands out the back window. Loved our “neighbors”, the local sheep herd, that wandered by daily. Only concern was we were unable to contact owner for door access until the day we arrived (instructions indicated we should try several days in advance), but it worked out.

This cabin is adorable! Everything is absolutely clean & comfortable. The view looks out over pastures with horses & sheep, and there is a beautiful range of mountains/volcanos in the distance.

Off the beaten path from Tourist near attractions
The best tranquil location with horses and sheep all around for a much better experience. House is super clean and comfortable and we even had time to watch great movies from the selection. I wish we had more time at this location.

Cozy Cabin Near Horses
After a day of hiking, Hekla Cabin provided a warm and comfortable spot to rest and reflect on the day. The place is compact but has all the amenities to make a relaxing night. Making meals was easy with the well-stocked kitchen. The owner stopped by in the early evening to make sure we have everything we need and provided helpful tips in planning our activies for the next day. She owns the land and the farm here, and she knows the area really well! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Hekla Cabin for an unique experience in Iceland.

Excllent cabin and perfect value for your money
This was a 5 on 5 accomodation. You could see the glacier and mount hekla straight from the cabin. Very well designed and equiped. Location also excellent (literally on route 1). Also very reasonably priced compared to other options in iceland.

We had one of the three cabins. The location is half an hour from Selfoss and on the way to Vik. It is quite a small accommodation for a family of 4 but we were here for one night. It is very simple with a small kitchen and clean bathroom. The views are pretty good in the morning.

Nice homey stay, enjoyed with family
It was a homey stay for the family with everything needed in the cabin. The host was extremely informative and thoughtful before arriving and answered all the questions asked. Definitely a good experience with Hekla Cabin.

We stayed there while touring the south coast in winter. A bit difficult to find in the dark, so suggest contacting the host before arriving. Cosy place but a bit small for 4 people. Friendly host.
