"This may be the best rental I've ever stayed at anywhere. The location is great as a base to travel to Vik, the black sand beach, all the waterfalls in between, etc. Vestmannaeyjar (Westman) Islands is very close too (very close). It is also perfect if you start the Golden Circle in Reykjavik and then continue from Selfoss to Bryggjur in the afternoon instead of returning to Reykjavik. "Jakob was a great host and the house was perfect for our needs. With 5 bathrooms and multiple living areas everybody had their own space. When Jakob found out ahead of time that we had a 7-year old in our group he brought in an extra bed for her. Home looks exactly like the photos and is well-equipped."

"Photos can not capture the beautiful scenery at the villa. You are surrounded by nature and the view of the Northern Lights surrounds the area when they are dancing. Our teens, young adults, middle-aged, and senior family members were all able to enjoy the spacious layout. Travel to local sights is easy and worth it in order to be in the tranquil quiet by the lake. I highly recommend staying here. The owners are wonderful hosts."
