Lovely hotel, staff and location

Very nice hotel, located between Santa margherita and Rapallo, out of the busy areas. Both are 25 min walk or there is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel. Lovely staff, very clean rooms, good air-conditioning and nice bar with patio for drinks. We had a very nice stay!

Great stay!

Very friendly staff, clean room and good breakfast! Only downside is that you have to walk right next to the road with cars driving pretty fast on the way to santa Margherita which is about 10 minutes away. But everything about the hotel itself was amazing!

Excellent stay at Hotel Approdo

Hotel Approdo was probably the cleanest place we stayed in our entire Italy trip. The staff are very courteous and prompt with all requests. We stayed for 2 nights. The room had a great balcony with an incredible view. We walked from the hotel to Portofino which took a couple hours at a fairly leisurely pace. We also walked to the hotel from the train station which was only about a 10-15 minute walk. It was quiet and lovely. Highly recommend.

As one of the more affordable hotels on the Riviera, we wdere surprised to find that the premises, staff, and location were excellent! I have to commend the staff above all, as they were incredibly friendly, informative, and helpful throughout our stay. It was great!

This is an excellent small hotel . Very clean and right on the bus route for Santa Margherita and Rapallo. I had a balcony room which was great and gave a stunning view. Breakfast is extra but very nice. The staff were very helpful , but special mention to Lisa who was outstanding in her help and knowledge . Something for people to be aware of is the steep driveway .. if you struggle to walk up hills Jen it may be a bit of a challenge for you - but , all things considered it is an excellent small hotel

We had 3 fantastic nights at the Hotel. We stayed in a superior room, which was on the top floor and had a sea view and large balcony (with chairs and beds). The views down the Italian Riviera coast are spectacular. We booked the hotel as it appeared good value compared to others in the area, and had no regrets. Ok, so on the downside, the hotel is out of town, (hence its slightly cheaper price), doesn’t have a restaurant and the road at the front is a bit noisy. Also perhaps at some point the bathrooms could be modernised with some newer fittings. However, for the location, it’s only a 10 minute walk back to either Santa Margherita, or for dinner, (as advised by the staff) to Spiaggia di San Michele, which contains a few great beachside restaurants and a bar, all without the crowds of the main town. The road, and noise certainly drops at night, and being on the hotels top floor also helps! Finally the staff, especially the ladies on reception, were fantastic, and all spoke English beautifully. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel, we had a great stay, and wonderful memories, and certainly hope to come back in the future.

I will remember this hotel forever. It is at the top of a small totally doable hill in San Michele. You walk ten mins down the hill to the beach with the option for beach clubs or public beach. Buy a waterproof cell phone lanyard like the locals so you can float all day without worrying about pick-pickets (not that I saw a hint of any). Also bring water shoes or tevas, beaches are a tad rocky but fine. There are quaint cafes and casual dining spots all in San Michele in this area. you are a 25 minute walk to Rapallo in one direction which is bustling with shopping/dining/beaches and Santa Margherita in the other direction also busting with shopping/dining/beaches. the bus stop is EXACTLY at this hotel (so amazing) and can also bring you so you don' have to walk, we wanted to walk a lot there and take the bus home. You can buy bus tickets for 2 euro cash each at the hotel so you don't have to worry about fumbling around with payment on a public bus (I worry lol). The front desk was amazing and 24 hour! They took such excellent care of us and really made us feel so welcome and like we had personalized care. Everyone remembers you and looks out for you with genuine care. It was WONDERFUL. We stayed in the garden terrace room and the terrace was enormous no one can believe how much space we had. This hotel is on a hill so if you cannot do hills its not for you but if you can walk up a hill (I'm not an athlete or a hill person) I would highly recommend it! 10/10, 5 Stars, LOVED

Perfect, amazing people are working at this hotel, was a pleasure to spend a few days here. If you need parking try booking it in advance, otherwise there is a public parking on the street nearby. Walking distance to the beach and nearest cities.
