"We booked rooms at the Beijing Hotel because we remembered it from 40+ years ago, when it was Beijing's premier hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel is now a shadow of its former self. The occupancy rate at the hotel seemed very low. We were told that heat would only be provided after 11/15. Our rooms were in need of renovation. The food in hotel restaurants was poor, and the restaurants wouldn't allow us to charge meals to our room or pay by foreign credit card. On the plus side, the location...

"If you are into the traditional housing experience of Beijing this is the platonic ideal. The service was impeccable really, we didn’t try the dining or options or activities because there is plenty to do in Beijing. There was some annoying xiaomi air purifier thing that’s literally my only critique, in that I had to stop it making random noises and lights during the night. I wouldn’t stay if you aren’t into this traditional housing though, remember it’s not a high rise hotel it’s like a little...

"Nice hotel, great location, good service, decent breakfast buffet, just slightly older hotel that could use some refurbishment and touch-up. But overall, very satisfied stay."
"Great location - close to the Forbidden City, restaurants, shopping, etc.
Clean, spacious room. Big breakfast buffet with many options for different tastes. Staff was friendly and helpful, even organizing a taxi for me for my ride to the airport. It was nice to be able to enjoy an espresso in the lobby bar!"
"Laundry set up was good but busy! Breakfast has a nice Asian and Western spread with lots of vegetable dishes. Though quite busy at times (with long line ups due to early tour excursion starts), the staff was very courteous and efficient! Thumbs up!"
"Great location, spacious room, lovely bathroom with an excellent shower and good pressure. The pool was amazing though we didn’t use it just had a peek. This is a very large hotel with access to a huge shopping area beneath. Staff were friendly, the bar area at reception served a small choice of food which was excellent, even served warm milk with a lovely coffee. The restaurant was also very good, comfortable with good menu choices. Would stay again if in Beijing."
