"Breakfast was always good. The property is a 7 minute walk to Playa Negra- which is a quite lovely beach. They have bikes at the hotel you can borrow which I used to go to the Playa Cochles (20 minutes) and Puerto Viejo (about 7 minutes). They pool there is very nice. I spent most of my time in the beach. The place was quiet and I slept very well. Having a/c was great- I dobt think I could have done without it and was a big reason why I decided to stay here. In short, highly recommend!"

"The property was amazing and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. From the complimentary breakfast to the beautiful pool, and reserved poolside chairs we loved it. They informed us of some community amenities and held our bags until the check in. We were allowed to check in a bit early also. Clean and well organized smaller hotel. We will return!"

"Sublime. We saw sloths and toucans walking from reception to our air conditioned room. The property is IN the jungle on the beach. The food is excellent and varied, with portions almost too big. All of the staff is helpful and friendly. It's not Sandals so don't expect infinity pools, mini golf, open bars and a disco. Expect green macaws and monkeys on your amble to the virtually empty beach. You'll see an old wooden hull from a long ago shipwreck and pelicans skimming the small waves. There are mild rip currents on most beaches but they are easy to spot and 50 metres from the walkway finds a very gentle stretch. A short walk takes you to a little village of Manzanillo at the end of the road. Very local, very chill vibe. Great calm waters for swimming or just floating blissfully. There's a convenience store and a few restaurants, as well as snorkeling tours and a wildlife refuge. A little further in the other direction takes you to a slightly larger and equally chill town of Punta Uva. A mix of families, happy dogs, and scattered tourists, as well as some good places to grab a bite. For things like ATM, pharmacy, or restaurants, bars, gift shops and cafes it's about 12km on a bike or in an Uber. Highly recommend getting some phenomenal jerk chicken from Jason at Mcloud's Munchies - a little spot on the beach. I've been to 20 counties and stayed in "fancier" hotels. But this week has been the single best vacation experience I've had. Hands down."

"We enjoyed our stay. The grounds were beautiful and the beach was awesome with a small protected area with little waves. Breakfast was delivered to our room and enjoyed on our patio daily. The pool was nice (not freezing) and we saw Tucans and Iguanas."
