"The hygienic conditions were horrible, the toilets near the bars and restaurants were very dirty, a bad smell came out of the toilet in the room. The restaurant with buffet was dirty in the area of fries, with food thrown on the counter. Food in general was not good, but the cakes and pastries were excellent."

"OMG. This property was amazing. We stayed in one of the Cave hotel rooms and it was like nothing else I have ever seen. The hotel was top-notch, the staff and service was top-notch, the view was beyond top-notch. I cannot recommend this hotel or staying in the Sassi area enough. I feel so lucky to have experienced this area of the world and cannot say enough good things about the property. The staff were so helpful from day one (we stayed 3 nights). 5-star service all the way. On our last day, we really did not have an itinerary for the last 3-4 days of our time in Italy until we flew out of Rome. The front desk employee suggested 2 places, including Orvieto. We took her advice and had the best time finishing off our 3-week tour of Croatia and Italy."
