    The Neighborhood:

Rhosneigr (said: ROSS-nigh-ger) is one of the most dog-friendly villages on Anglesey. It's a foodie haven, a watersports mecca, and somehow packs bars, restaurants, independent shops and golden beaches into one small stretch of coastline curving round the village. Whether you're a couple, a family three generations deep, or bringing a dog who's never seen so much sand, it works.

It's on the pricier side, but one visit shows why. Two stunning beaches wrap the village, Traeth Crigyll and Traeth Llydan, the surf's some of the best on the Island, and the food punches well above its weight. Mornings belong to the water, with Funsport or Gecko Surf on the seafront covering surfing, kitesurfing and paddleboarding for all ages. Evenings bring cocktails, fresh food at the Blue Olive, or the Sandy Mount House or fish and chips from Scarletts on the high street, eaten on the beach or back at the house.

    Getting Around:

Rhosneigr is best explored by car, with free parking available at the property and throughout the village. The nearest train station, just 5 minutes away at Ty Croes, connects you to Holyhead and Bangor

    Other Things to Note:

An AHL Damage Waiver is included as standard with every booking. It’s there to protect the property and give you complete peace of mind, covering accidental damage up to £250, so that if something happens, it doesn’t cast a shadow over your stay.

Towels & Bedding: Linens and bath towels provided (please bring your own beach towels)

    Did you know:

We offer booking extras to make your stay even better. Our Extended Stay Refresh* brings fresh linens, new towels, made beds and a quick bathroom reset. *Available on selected properties within our portfolio.

    Don’t forget:

Booking with AHL gets you fabulous, unique discounts at eateries, attractions, and shops such as Rib Ride, Zip World, and Sandy Mount House to name a few.

Lovely bungalow in a nice quiet location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Faraway, it has a lovely spacious open plan feel to it and is very comfortable and well equipped. The location is ideal, just a few minutes to the shops or the beach. A great garden and good parking area.

Our favourite place in the UK

We’ve just come home after our third stay at Faraway and - as always - wished we hadn’t had to leave. It is a stunning bungalow, situated a stones throw from the beautiful Rhosneigr beach and RAF valley runway. The town has all the amenities you could wish for and some lovely shops. It is hands down our favourite place to holiday in the UK and has become a family tradition to visit. I just wish we’d found it sooner! As always Anglesey Holiday Lettings were on hand to promptly deal with any questions / help needed. Thank you Anglesey Holiday Lettings and Faraway for another magical family holiday x

Family trip

Myself, partner, son, granddaughter and dog, enjoyed a wonderful 4 night break in faraway. The place was spotless, kitchen well equipped, fenced off area for the dog and comfy beds. Short walk to beach, shops, pubs/ restaurants and many lovely walks straight from the house. Would definitely stay again. The only one tiny negative was there wasn't a shaver plug for our electric toothbrushes.

2nd visit

This is our 2nd visit to Faraway. This year there were a few changes/renewals which we appreciated. We could not fault anything about the property or the location. The only issue we had was that the washing machine broke mid cycle. A call to Anglesey letting and the next morning an engineer arrived and sorted out the problem, he was really efficient and friendly. The house is spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. Lovely walks in the vicinity and we especially enjoyed our evening walks around the lake. We love this house so much that we have rebooked for next year.

FARAWAY

Spent four nights at Faraway.Had a lovely break away. Place very clean, comfortable bed and everything you need. Open plan as doors missing on lounge, wondered if it would be cold in winter. Very convenient to beach ,local shops and restaurants. Garden enclosed and ideal for dog.

A pleasant stay

Lovely stay in a great location. Well equipped with very comfy beds. Not a very private garden but still functional and safe for our little dog. Easy walk to the beach and shops/pubs/cafés. Single level was great for my elderly parents. Only a couple of steps to contend with. A polite suggestion of a handrail at both entrances would have made this more easily accessible for them though as would a non slip mat for both showers. A pleasant enough stay once I'd hoovered all the visible dust/cob webs. I feel the bathroom shower grouting and sealant could be a little fresher looking, not terrible by any means but could be easily remedied with a spray of mold and mildew cleaning spray. Everything very clean otherwise. Thank you.

Faraway Holiday

Anglesey is just beautiful, always able to visit new places each time we visit. Faraway was in a quiet, but perfect location, only a 10 minute walk to the shops and beaches. Seeing the RAF jerts flying over us each day was amazing as were the sunsets you could see down the road towards the beach. Amenities within the house were good, esp the ninja air fryer, we were converted & bought one when we got home! The only issue we had was with the bed in the main bedroom, very springy and squeaked every time one of you moved, disturbing sleep but otherwise a perfect stay, thank you Anglesey holiday Lettings

Amazing

From the moment we stepped into the property we felt at home. Nicely furnished, comfortable and so spacious. Well equipped for self catering including a double air fryer and a bread maker. We love Rhosneigr and this is our third visit to the village. We loved the location of the property which has easy access to all the local amenities. Lovely garden and very quiet. We were so impressed with Faraway that we rebooked for next year whilst we were staying at the property. A credit to the owners. If anything could be improved it would be to have a shelf in the shower for toiletries. Thank you for a five star stay.

Our stay at Faraway

Upon entering the house we were pleasantly impressed with the gifts that were left for us. Red wine, cheese and crackers, hot chocolate packets, a spice jelly, milk, and even dog treats to name a few. The house was lovely and well furnished especially in the kitchen. It was equipped with a bread machine, ninja, four slice toaster, coffee press, two ovens, microwave, dishwasher and a washing machine. Close to the beach. Check in was not util 17:00. We all thought that was a very late check in since we were paying for the whole day. They advertised a barbecue grill which we found was locked in a container. The lock was so rusty that it wouldn't open. You only get one roll of toilet paper and then you have to buy your own and no laundry soap for the washing machine.

Great place, suited us just fine, very kind neighbours…just one thing doors!

Two great grandparents, two great grandsons. Very spacious open-plan bungalow. Nice garden more than adequate for summer fun. We all immediately felt at home. Two bathrooms, comfortable beds and bedding. No trying to understand/or controlled heating system (as so often happens in holiday lets), just turn the switch. Thankyou for the welcome pack, nice treats. Ample off street parking. Well equipped kitchen. Beaches, shops, eats and drinks all a short walk. Jets and Red Arrows training, Faraway suited us and the boys just fine. We stayed four nights during October half -term using Rhosneiger as a base. The local beaches and facilities are good. And as we’ve visited Anglesey before had already formulated an itinerary to keep the boys busy. Sand sledging on the dunes at Aberffraw, they made friends with a couple of local children with their mum and we meandered to the beach and sea. She invited them to meet up later on Rhosneiger beach and she’d bring dinghy, life jackets, kites etc. They had a great time as we watched them and a lovely sunset. As the light faded they finally acknowledged they were blue with cold we bade our farewells happy with the serendipity nature of chance meetings and making friends. Back to Faraway for warmth and hot chocolate (from the welcome pack). Our youngest great grandson had come prepared for Halloween and we carved pumpkins. Walking back from the shop in the afternoon we met a lovely lady (Arwen) in the neighbouring street, and she welcomed him to call on her Trick or Treating that night, telling us “they go mad for it here.” So at dusk Dracula and I set off. And Anwen was not wrong! The streets were filled with folk in fancy dress, houses lit up, pumpkins aglow. Arwen’s sister also kindly invited him to call on her and her mother across the road. We were welcomed by others too. On return to Faraway we then had lots of excited groups of youngsters knocking at our door. The best was a quartet of girls in Wizard of Oz themed costumes.. So if you go at Halloween - go prepared and join in the fun. Next day beach-combing at Newborough, exploring LLandywyn island and finally a last day Rib Ride treat before heading home. This is my first time using Anglesey Lettings, and compliments to them. They’re a very easy company to deal with, excellent timely communications and guides. The discounts are a bonus too. The ‘just one thing’ about Faraway is…….three doors have been removed between living room/dining room/kitchen, and between dining room/conservatory. Totally unnecessary and serves no purpose. I suspect in winter, unable to close off rooms it could be chilly as the space is so big. My main concern though is Fire Risk. Experience shows no one expects a fire, but they occur. My sister’s was a fridge fire set their kitchen ablaze as they all slept upstairs. Through her experience whenever we stay away from home I check for fire hazards, escape routes, doors, keys etc. Faraway has an open fire in the living room and candles are around, there is just one door (which is not a fire door) separating the whole of the living area from the bedrooms. I know there are the required working fire sensors and fire precautions in the bungalow. But it makes sense to me to minimise the Fire Risk and maximise the potential escape routes especially for infirm/disabled people - simple just put the three doors back on!

Perfect spot

The bungalow was well kept & the front garden was lovely. It was just out of the centre of Rhosneigr but only a 5 minute to the beach & everything was close enough to walk too. Would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful

We have stayed here several times and it never disappoints. Spacious, light, well designed and everything you need is provided, including a welcome pack. It is so close to the beach and the sunsets views from the lounge window are amazing. The Blue Olive restaurant is a must and the local shops are good. It is a lovely place and highly recommended

very clean and very comfortable

Fantastic location with wonderful views of the bay to the front of the bungalow and the inland lake and Snowdonia at the back. Very pleased. Unfortunately for us we had to leave 2 days early as our dachsund dog sustained a back injury and we booked an emergency appointment with our own vet. Hope to return soon to make up for our lost time.

Wonderful

Dorothy and I enjoyed our stay at Faraway immensely. A good location within 5 minutes walking distance to the beach. The accommodation suited our needs perfectly in a quiet neighbourhood and the welcome pack was much appreciated. All in all a 5 star experience. We have already booked a return visit. Finally whilst we did receive details online regarding check out it would be helpful if this was also included in the Information Booklet found at the property.

A wonderful family holiday!( Second time)

Thanks to the fabulous weather in August our second time at Faraway was even better than our first occasion which was at October half term in 2023 (when it rained) but honestly the accommodation is so good that you can't help but enjoy yourself! Everything was first class. There was a hitch with the fridge freezer, defrosting on our arrival, but it was cleared up very efficiently by the housekeeping service. The owners of the property are to be commended on the high standard of all the amenities. It's a perfect family holiday let. Thank you!
