We had a great 3-night stay. Restaurant serves great food, excellent breakfast. Dinner is open to locals and good value with an excellent reputation. Our room was in the main building with balcony views of the pool and ocean. Parking is easy and on site. Thoroughly recommended.

We loved our stay at Hotel Borgo Di Santa Barbara. Easily communicated with hotel manager Martina throughout the duration of our stay through WhatsApp - scheduling transit and shuttles from Aurelio (staff). They were extremely nice our entire stay. The restaurant located on the property La Locanda was amazing, great food, nice and quiet patio outside. Would recommend staying here and would come back!

We had a very pleasant stay for one night, and found the hotel to be quiet, comfortable, and serene. The check-in was very quick and easy, followed by a restaurant right on site that does a wonderful dinner as well as a complimentary Italian breakfast. The pool is cozy and received plenty of sunlight, and the room was comfortable along with a top notch A/C and a stocked mini fridge. We’ll certainly stay again next time we’re in town

We ended our Europe trip with a week at Hotel Borgo di Santa Barbara and it was the perfect choice. The property is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, a great place to unwind. You can relax by the pool or head to Tropea beach, which is just a short drive away. The breakfast each morning was delicious with a variety of options, many of them homemade. The family who owns and runs the hotel is incredibly welcoming and their hospitality really stands out. Everything was also very clean and well taken care of. We had such a wonderful stay and would love to return someday.

Staff and owners were amazing. Great day trips provided at a great value. Walking at night not possible walking is very hilly, but very enjoyable. Great location, especially if you have a vehicle if you don’t know bus service available walking is your alternative.

The hotel is excellent. The property owners were always ready to help or give suggestions. There’s a great restaurant on site for dinners, they also have a complimentary breakfast. It’s a quiet area a couple miles outside town, but the owner will take you in his van anywhere you want

Really enjoyed our stay here! Room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Onsite staff are very friendly and accommodating with needs. They set up shuttles to get us to and from Tropea beach and main square on multiple occasions which made travelling stress free. The onsite restaurants food was delicious so we ate all our dinners there. Overall, the hotel offers everything you would need. We had an exceptional stay and will definitely choose to stay here again should we wind up back in the area in the future.

We loved this hotel, very nice room, great and friendly staff, restaurant onsite was useful and food excellent, great breakfast as well. Note - It is next to a railway line so trains going through early hours of the morning which woke the local roosters which in turn got the neighbourhood dog going! not much sleep after that - not really a complaint because everything else at this property was great.

The hotel is not conveniently walkable to town or the beach - a car might be necessary for getting around. The resort pool and pool chairs could’ve used a little cleaning. Best Secret in Tropea

I cannot say enough about this hotel and the family that owns it and operates it. It is truly a full family operation so it works like a well oiled machine. They are friendly. They speak English German Italian. They will accommodate you with whatever you need. The location is perfect getting to all of the surrounding areas the restaurant included with the hotel is wonderful great food everything is homemade and grown fresh and local. We cannot say enough about this hotel, and I will definitely be visiting again I highly recommend the boat cruise that they will offer you and we actually ate dinner in the hotel every night fresh local food.

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Two story (we asked for a ground floor), ours had a large patio with chairs, table. The A/C works better than any that we have encountered, and the bed is very comfortable. There is Wi-Fi in the room and at the restaurant. The windows have screens on them so one can open the windows for the breeze. Plenty of power outlets. The property is very quiet, one can see the ocean, it is just steps from their restaurant, where we had a delicious dinner. Today breakfast included cereals, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, meats and cheeses, coffee machine that makes fresh coffee. Gated parking. The owner and staff are very welcoming and speak several languages. Wish we could stay longer and use this as a base for exploration of Calabria.

Fabulous!

Immediately upon arrival, I was greeted with incredible friendliness & helpfulness. This is a family run business, and everyone was invested in making sure the stay was pleasant and that you had everything you needed. I had a few challenges and the whole family helped out from picking me up at the train station, to getting me a last minute car hire. I have never stayed at a hotel where the people were so helpful and kind! The restaurant on site was incredible; I ate there every night. The food absolutely stellar, as well as an incredibly organized and friendly staff. My room was clean & comfortable. I appreciated that the room has an outside area with chairs to sit after a long day out and about. I will miss my friends that I made while staying there, and will absolutely return. Grazie mille per tutto!
