Hickory Hill House: a country retreat, lovely gardens, trails, boats & tennis.

"Beautiful, large, old home, filled with hundreds of antiques, and a story for every one of them, I'm sure. You'd run out of time before you saw all of them. Really comfy beds, lots of bedrooms (some had private sitting rooms) and bathrooms. Nearly private driveway that winds through beautiful mountain scenery. We were there in winter and still saw tons of wild life..the birds! so many. Huge, old kitchen with some comfy chairs an eat in table and breathtaking views. A private bedroom wing, BUT...

Cozy Cabin-Catskills secluded Mountain retreat

2.0 star property
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (1)
"The cabin was secluded and quiet, lovely location, and a beautiful sunroom. We were two adults and a baby, and a cat. It was clean and well stocked with linens and utensils. Our baby did well as it was kid friendly. Small but compact and everything was in good working order. WiFi was good. It was close to Mine Kill State Park. We enjoyed our stay very much. The only thing we would suggest is removing the trophy animals (three deer heads and a turkey). Not everyone is comfortable with such...

Glamp Under Stars in the Heart of the Catskills

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (1)
"Very unique experience in a wonderful locations but a few asterisks. There is no plumbing en suite, which we were aware of, but the bathhouse (clean) is a good 100 yards away. Not ideal for middle-of-the-night wakeups or if your ability to get around is compromised. It got very cold overnight and unfortunately the fireplace would not switch on. The batteries in the remote were probably the culprit, but this didn't help make us any warmer. The staff was very nice and helpful. "
