This hotel has the potential to be absolutely brilliant I don’t quite understand how it has been awarded 4 stars. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room but no mugs so I took some paper cups from reception. The towels were very standard not very big or very thick and they never smelled freshly washed. The room itself was clean and tidy however the bathroom needed some work e.g. the shower screen did not close so wasn’t water tight and the skirting boards had some serious water damage. Everywhere needed dusting skirting boards etc had a thick layer of dust that you could visibly see (no one is clearly doing spot checks) and the sliding doors to the bathroom/toilet were covered in water marks that clearly hadn’t been wiped down in quite sometime. It was very budget hotel standards for 4 stars. The air conditioning/heating unit made an awful noise that seemed to get worse and sounded like a phone vibrating every few minutes or a ship fog horn. Please do not get me wrong it was fine for a budget hotel and the bed was very comfortable but this was not budget hotel and I would not recommend to a friend or stay again. Someone mentioned to us that the hotel had almost finished their renovation save for the stairs I find this hard to believe giving the state of the bathroom!

Staying at the Normandy Hotel felt like stepping into an old-world Parisian fairytale—complete with charm, comfort, and the kindest hosts. From the moment I arrived, the front desk angels, Carolina and Nathan, made everything seamless. Whether it was arranging taxis or tracking down their exact arrival (because… Paris traffic!), they had it covered with a smile. My room? Everything was spotless and quietly luxurious, the kind of clean that whispers “relax, you’re taken care of.” And the location—chef’s kiss! I could practically waltz to the Louvre, sip espresso near Palais Royal, or take a moonlit stroll to the Seine. The Normandy wasn’t just a hotel—it was a soft place to land in the heart of Paris. The room was tiny, and the pillow wasn't clean. Besides that, the area was very walkable and convenient.

The room was very clean and quiet. Just down the road from the Moulin Rouge and metro stop just down the way. A bit far to walk from the main city center but all-in-all would stay here again.

The hotel is in a fantastic location. The room was beautifully newly refurbished and refurbishment of the entire hotel was still in progress (looks like it will be completed very soon) and they have done an excellent job with the details. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.
