Sangregado Lodge

"We had a wonderful stay at Sangregado Lodge! The views were lovely and the staff was super helpful! The room was so thoughtfully decorated as well. A few things I wish they would include: places to hang towels, especially wet towels. Also, Since it rains so often and you have to walk a fair distance from the car to your villa, they are nice to provide us with umbrellas, but we track in a lot rain water and bugs. The drive in is lengthy but scenic. We will definitely be back!"

"I cannot say enough good things about this property. From check in to check out. The staff was amazing everywhere. The food was amazing. The amenities are off the charts. The room was fantastic. Peaceful. Gorgeous views. If I could stay here forever I would. West bungalow was AMAZING. Yoga class was wonderful. Massage was relaxing. Canyon adventures zip lining and the Whitewater tubing were so much fun. And so worth it. Guides were GREAT. The property is absolutely gorgeous. Every day I discovered something new and I didn’t probably even see a fraction of what they have to offer. I will definitely be back. They made a big birthday trip a dream. And the concierge was also wonderful. This was my first trip to Costa Rica and they made it so amazing. PURA VIDA!"

"The Hideaway is top shelf. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the awesome spa. We will comeback the next time we are in Costa Rica . It is located close to Rio Celeste falls and has river access you can hike a short distance to see."

"The property was beautiful! The host was very accommodating! I had to check out a day early and she was agreeable and reimbursed me for the night. They also decorated for our anniversary which was so sweet! The area was very secluded and definitely relaxing! The drive there is a bit taxing and I would definitely recommend renting an AWD or FWD most of the road is not paved. The drive is about 30-40 mins out from food or stores. So stock up beforehand. The host did send me two restaurants that are 20 mins out from location. Avoid driving up at night. It gets very dark and can be very intimidating as you’re going up a mountain with just car lights and sometimes there is mist or fog which makes it hard to see. Rain water does enter room by the door if it’s raining really hard but it’s not too bad if you place a towel at the door. There can be a few bugs but it’s the jungle. So it’s to be expected. They did provide bug spray. Overall It was a great place to relax and my husband was able to fly his drone with no issues. The view is amazing. We missed the volcano but had we stayed the extra night we would’ve caught it; but seeing it through the clouds I know it’s an amazing view! The room was quaint.It’s was like glamping. So if you have huge luggage you may not have a lot of space. Parking is close though! And they have a restaurant on site that opens on the weekend. Again overall it was a nice stay with a view you can’t beat!"
