"First off, we have never stayed in a yurt before so have nothing to compare this yurt with. We've had friends to and they have had good things to say. Since this was a last-minute trip and we wanted to be close to the trailhead, we decided to try out this yurt that advertised that it was "7" minutes from the trailhead. and was "luxurious"!!!!! It ended up being 24 minutes. I'm glad I had GPS because the way that the host told us to go, was in the opposite direction and there was NOTHING...

"My daughter and I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Banner Elk while taking my son to his new student orientation at Lees-McRae College, and we had a wonderful experience. Sam at the front desk was absolutely amazing—so sweet, welcoming, and accommodating. She made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and inviting, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—we slept great! After a busy and exciting day on campus, it was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely choose this hotel again when visiting Banner Elk. Thank you, Sam, for your outstanding hospitality!"

"Property is stunning. Current construction with a new bar kept the restaurant open only limited days. And seemed open for only breakfast on Sunday which is the day we arrived. There are several close food options in BR. Just plan accordingly for meals or bring food in with you to avoid being tired on your day of arrival."
