Cottage on Lake Gaston with shallow water for wading, boathouse, and kayaks, floats, paddleboards & small canoe readily available. A pool and playground are available for guests 1-2 miles away.
Although the house is older, the kitchen was remodeled in 2021,bathroom updated in 2023, upstairs freshly painted, powder room redecorated in 2024, and carpets, draperies, etc. added very recently. You'll enjoy a large, covered porch with water view, new TV's in both family room and owner bedroom, and family board games added for the occasional rainy days. We also offer corn hole, for family fun.
The home is situated on a heavily wooded lot ,so a hardpack walkway to the water has been added for comfort.
Child gates are installed at top of spiral stairs, and home sanitized according to CDC suggestions.

Wonderful Stay at Lake Gaston

Thank you Pat for another wonderful vacation! We always enjoy fishing from the kayaks and the ease of launching them from the shoreline. Our biggest catch of the week was a 34" cat fish caught on light tackle from our fishing kayak! The shady area and shallow shoreline is perfect for young children. The house is comfortable and a great location. Pat is always very helpful in ensuring you have a good time. We are already looking forward to returning in the spring!

Comfortable and Relaxing Stay

The house was the cleanest I’ve ever seen as a rental and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Having use of the paddle boards, kayaks and floats was awesome. The owners were very nice and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this property!

Quiet and peaceful location on lake is great. Boat ramp two doors down couldn't ask for anything better, dog and I enjoyed the walks. I come to the lake twice a year this place is perfect....

The cottage met all our needs. The access to the lake was great. Enjoyed fishing and reading in the swing on the dock. The weather wasn’t the greatest but used time indoors to read and plan for fall. We enjoyed trip to Sylvan Bird Sanctuary. About an hour away

Best rental at Lake Gaston!

We've stayed at this lake house for several years and it's always comfortable, clean and relaxing. The back porch is perfect for meals and fellowship and the lake side view is beautiful. We always enjoy using the kayaks and paddle boards. This trip we caught a few cat fish, shell crackers, bream and white perch while kayaking. Thank you Pat for another wonderful vacation! We look forward to returning in the spring!

Summer vacation

This property was beyond excellent. My husband and I brought 3 grandkids with us. We used the kayaks and the paddle boards that were provided. The kids swam and fished daily. They caught quite a few fish from the dock. We cooked meals and had dinner on the balcony. The kitchen had everything we needed. This was our second time renting this property and we will definitely be renting it again. It’s pet friendly also and our dog had a great time too!

Another Wonderful Vacation!

We've lost count with how many times we've rented this house! It's a comfortable home supplied with everything you'll need, located on a quiet cove and close to the Food Lion. There's a nice grassy spot with shade or sun by the water's edge where kayaks can be easily launched and young children can play. The view is beautiful! The back porch is also nice for meals and reading. This trip we caught several bream, shellcrackers, catfish, and bass while kayak fishing. Fun at the lake

We had a wonderful stay. The home is clean and very well stocked with every thing you need, inside and out. Lots of towels, beds clean and made. Kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets also. Being able to bring our furry friends is a wonderful plus! We brought our boat and the launch is very close. This is our second time visiting and hope to get back soon!

Great Fishing Week/Great House

I rented this house for my husband and his buddy for their annual fishing trip. He could not say enough good about it! He said the location was perfect, the house was immaculately clean and very well stocked with all the kitchen supplies, linens, etc., that you would need.Pat, the host was very responsive with any questions. My husband and his fishing buddy plan to rent it again for next years trip. I highly recommend this house, you won’t be disappointed.

Hidden gem

We had a wonderful time under the pines at Lake Gaston. Beautifully hidden from the lake, but great views from the dock. The pool and community access point was a bonus. The owner very welcoming and communicates well. The house had everything we needed and more kitchen supplies, games, kayaks etc. House is exactly as described and well worth the visit. Would recommend and can't wait to stay again!

Love this Littleton getaway spot

Once again, had a wonderful time staying at Pat’s place. We love so many things about the property, including the easy and quick walk down to the water / dock area, use of kayaks and water toys, convenient neighborhood boat ramp literally yards from the house, huge outdoor deck right off living area with view of lake, and super comfortable and clean living area inside that includes a fantastic AC system that keeps up with the Summer Gaston temps. Perfect getaway vacation!

We always look forward to staying at this comfortable home located on a quiet cove close to the Food Lion. There's a nice grassy spot with shade or sun by the water's edge where the kayaks can be easily launched. We caught several bream, catfish, and small bass from the kayaks and dock. Looking for a relaxing lake vacation, you found it

We stayed at this location for 11 days, and rented a pontoon boat to enjoy the lake. Our 2 dogs joined us and had a blast at the water front beach. The house is older but very clean and well equipped. The location is perfect as you are minutes away from the main lake, and close to waterfront restaurants. We had a beautiful 12 days enjoying the outside location. Communication with the owner(Pat) was fast and great. Thank you for our family to make another set of great memories

Clean Cottage Great Area

This cottage is magical. The perfect blend of a country cottage with all the modern conveniences in a great location. The entire cottage was spotless. Crisp sheets and bath towels were provided. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. There is a gravel walk down to the pier where we loved floating in the water and watching the sunrise each day. Check in and check out was well explained and all questions were answered. Close to Food lion for any items we needed. Loved our time staying here on the lake.

Fishing Trip to Lake Gaston

This is our second stay at this property and we just love it! The house is clean, the bed is comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked. The grocery store is a short drive and a bakery is just down the street. We brought our dogs and we were allowed to put our boat under cover at the dock which is so convenient. The boat ramp is within walking distance. The fishing is unbelievable and as long as we fish Lake Gaston we will stay at this property. Thank you, Pat, for your hospitality.

Terrific Lakefront Property!

Walk right into water, no mucky bottom, & deep in middle of cove. Easy to launch provided floats, kayaks, & SUPs. Waterfront yard is grassy & flat w/ several shady areas throughout the day to get out of sun. House is clean & comfortable - bed & LR furniture as comfy as my own. Although large deck is unscreened, no issues w/ mosquitoes/bugs. Nice & quiet neighborhood.

Nice Relaxing Stay

We enjoyed a nice relaxing getaway at "Away From It All". The cottage was very comfortable and in a good location. Unfortunately, our family could not make it due to a family emergency. So we had to leave a day early. Our communication with the owner was very "on spot". Pat was very helpful before, during, and after our stay! She answered many questions that we had and made our stay that much better! Thanks for the goodie basket! It was very much appreciated! Would highly recommend this cottage!

Our favorite vacation get away!

We've rented this home for several years as it's perfect for our family. House is located in a quiet cove and is always clean and comfortable. Pat is the best host we've ever worked with which makes our stay even better! Our older children loved the new paddle boards and we all enjoyed the new couches. We always enjoy fishing from the kayaks. This year we caught a few bass, bream and shell crackers, The big catch of the week were 3 catfish over 30 inches each on light tackle while kayaking. Each one put up a good fight but we were able to land them after a long battle! When not fishing or kayaking or paddle boarding we love relaxing by the water's edge with our family and enjoying the beautiful views. Thank you Pat for another wonderful vacation!

Wonderful!

This is such a a great place to get "away from it all"! There are fun floats available, and paddleboards and kayaks if you're more adventurous. The house itself is nestled in some trees right on the lake. The screened porch is perfect for morning coffee, and there is a nice gravel path down to the water. You can walk right into the water from the shoreline. We spent the majority of our time in the water. We brought our 1-year old dog and she got to swim for the first time! There is plenty of kitchen stuff available, and the interior is clean and comfy. Not to mention how kind and gracious the host is!! Thanks so much, Pat! We definitely hope to return! #lakelife
