"We loved everything about our stay at this beautiful and charming inn! The location is perfect to enjoy downtown Stowe and the Inn itself is so pretty. Our room was clean and spacious, and we loved that we could help ourselves to extra towels. The complimentary coffee, tea and pastries were wonderful, and our lunch at the Grant's the Inn's restaurant was delicous, and made extra enjoyable by the gorgeous mountain view from our table on the lovely porch. We enjoyed all the staff, including the lovely older bearded gentleman who cares for the beautiful gardens. The firepit was an added bonus - we only wish they would add a couple of more on the patio so more guests could enjoy sitting by the fire at night. Highly recommend and already looking forward to returning!"

"Beautiful well-maintained property in a prime location, right next-door to a market and a quick walk to the downtown shops. Back of property overlooks a peaceful river and we were lucky enough to get to watch 2 bear cubs play in a tree and then cross the river with mama right at dark! Hosts are fantastic to communicate with and were so kind to leave us a gift card for our 20th anniversary. Property has everything you could want or need for a memorable stay in an adorable town! "

"Max’s Roost was lovely! Clean, bright. It feels more like an AirBnB because there isn’t an in-person reception, but the communication was good and effective. There is a nice organized binder in the room to answer any questions you might have. My only warning is the bedframe is VERY creaky. If you turn over, it’s going to creak—very loudly. It’s alarming. Otherwise, it’s comfortable. At the restaurant below (which we highly recommend), some sort of mechanical noises started somewhere between 5-6am—guessing they were prepping for their delicious breakfast service. So, to do it over again, I would have put in earplugs. Would recommend for sure though-great location. "
