Fantastic stay at the Ballinderry
This was our 3rd stay at the Ballinderry, but the first for 5 years. The place was as good as ever, and we had a fantastic 2 night stay. Luc and Hilde are very welcoming - and Hilde’s food for breakfast, and a fantastic Valentines meal, second to none. We will always look to stay there when visiting Robertson, which has some great wine estates, and would highly recommend it. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The owners wirk hard , especialky to offer a welcome, and the food here is sensational. We wish we had pre ordered dinner as the other guests were as impressed as they were with the outstanding delectable breakfast. The room was lovely

Wonderful stay
I would not hesitate to recommend Ballinderry to anyone travelling to Robertson. Luc and Hilda are very welcoming and made our stay very comfortable. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay with friendly faces, Ballinderry is the place to go.

Perfect in every way
We’ve just returned from a delightful two-night stay this weekend, and can’t wait to return soon. Luc and Hilde are the perfect hosts - attentive without being overbearing, and with that rare ability to make every single guest feel special. Our bed was amazingly comfortable, the breakfast was exceptional and the location was perfect for exploring this beautiful part of South Africa. Don’t even think about staying anywhere else in Robertson.

Excellent on all fronts
Fantastic welcome from Luc and Hilde, lovely venue with a lounge area for guests, pool and garden. Room was comfortable and immaculate. Breakfast was superb and even had a surprise glass of bubbles which started the day well. We will definitely be back next time we’re staying in Robertson and highly recommend this to others.

Just perfect!
We loved our recent stay at the Ballinderry and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to other travelers. The rooms were super spacious and well appointed with nice, comfortable beds. Breakfast was a treat every morning with a new warm option every day. The refreshing pool is set amid a beautifully maintained garden with plenty of seating and loungers. The guesthouse itself is an easy walk or short drive into the center of Robertson and ideally located for wine touring. Plenty of safe parking onsite. But by far the best part of our stay was meeting our lovely hosts Luc and Hilde. So warm and welcoming and very helpful with advice and suggestions of what to do in the area. Many thanks for a wonderful stay!

Luke & Hilde were wonderful hosts...made us feel very welcome from the start. Hilde prepared a fabulous dinner of Grilled Springbok with all the fixings. The rooms were well stocked were all amenities. The pool & yard area was charming. Great wine recommendations from Luke.

Fantastic stay, wonderful food and hospitality!
This was our second visit to the Ballinderry! Like last time, everything was fantastic. The room is very clean and has everything you need. The hosts are very helpful and friendly, and the evening meal prepare by Hilde is not too be missed. I would pay what I paid for the whole stay, for the meal alone! We will definitely return.

Outstanding welcome by owners. Friendly, warm welcome and hospitality mostly unknown anywhere. And a great "champagne" breakfast - continental, as well as a daily special - set us on course for great days.

A great place to stay and exceptionally good food
We only stayed for two nights but thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Ballinderry. The guest house is immaculate, lots of little touches made us feel very welcome. The location is good, a little too far to walk into town but not an issue. Hilde is an amazing chef. The breakfasts were exceptionally good and the evening meal was one of the best we have had in our 3 week stay. Hilde's cooking skills are not to be missed and it is perhaps sad that not enough people manage to experience her scrumptious food. We ate our delicious meal outside and spent a very pleasant evening with other fellow guests ('fluffy'). I can definitely recommend The Ballinderry and will return if in the area again. Sincere thanks to Luc and Hilde.

This is our 10th visit to South Africa and we've stayed in dozens of excellent guesthouses. This rates amongst the top 5 despite its slightly unprepossessing exterior from the road. Ambience, service, charm and especially the superb dinner all top class.

Fantastic Service
The Guest House is located in the center of the town. Which makes it very easy to explore the town on foot and the get to the surrounding areas by car. The Hosts are very friendly and helpful. The room we had is very modern and spacious as we traveled with our 2 year old son. The food is fantastic, specifically the dinner. Need to arrange in advance to have dinner at the Guest House but can recommend this

This was a truly lovely hotel - i can't praise it enough. Luc and Hilde were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. This was the best place we stayed on our holiday - and the dinner was the best I've ever eaten, no exaggeration. I would unreservedly recommend this hotel and we will certainly be staying there again and recommending it to all our friends.
