"As a regular staying at Essentia in Dumaguete, Charos dormitel is a breath of fresh air !! Outstanding room, staff, restaurant and not so many guests (not crowded like Essentia) ! I agree with other travelers reviews now ! This was a 5 star experience for one night stay. Definitely will return in the near future😀 "

"Very little seems to go toward upgrades/general maintenance. First room - part of the flooring was yellow taped and upon inspecting, the floor tile had no foundation & seemed unable to be weight bearing. I changed rooms. Second room - toilet leaked water across bathroom floor. Other minor stuff like leaking shower hose & blocked shower rose. Bathroom floor tiles old, heavily stained and showing their age. All staff were helpful and friendly. Great location as its 2 minute walk to water front, restaurants and 10 minutes to ferry pier."

"The room was clean and spacious, the Staff was fantastic in being both extremely kind and helpful. The restaurant was exceptionally good both the Breakfast and dinner entrees were excellent. I spent a few weeks at The Lighthouse and will absolutely recommend a stay. JB "

"Was a great stay. I few nights would host parties in the conference room but the noise didn't go past 9 or 10. Staff was super nice and you can also rent a motor bike here. I will be back.."

"The room was really good for sleeping with not much comfort to offer. Set-up of the room was in disarray. Only bath towels were provided and bath mats. Breakfast was reasonable. Would not recommend staying in the place if looking for comfort and a little class and luxury."

"Excellent hotel. From the nice smelling diffuser in the room to the tablet you can use for guest services. Four different eateries, an open air lounge and bar, nice courtyard, free shuttle to the airport and a great breakfast menu. Definitely will stay here again. "
