We also had her prepare a meal for us and our extended family 20 people and it was our favorite meal of our trip ! Everything was so fresh and so wonderful ! "Assisi is within walking distance (less then 20 minutes), which it makes the perfect location to visit this beautiful and well-restored town of San Francisco and Santa Chiara. The garden with its nice flowers and figs, tomatoes and olive trees create a comfortable and tranquil atmosphere. The house is spit in two apartments. We rented the lower apartment, which was very nicely restored with an eye for detail. We didn’t hear much of our neighbours from upstairs. We’ve shared the garden easily."

"This is a rare find; a 13th century castello, lovingly restored and converted into comfortable and atmospheric apartments. There are magnificent views across Umbria. You are within reach of Spoleto and Foligno. Only problem; finding it. I strongly suggest that anyone booking it should make sure they get a precise map, because it is in the middle of nowhere. Worse, the map given on the hotels.com page puts it in the wrong place, (there's a cemetery there instead) which cost me 45 minutes of...

Didn’t eat there but loads of restaurants nearby. Stayed 5nights. Great based for visiting other umbrian towns eg Assisi, Spello, Gubbio by train and bus. "

"Fantastic relaxing and peaceful stay. We stayed at Abbazia for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary and we did not want to leave. Our stay was absolutely wonderful; the rooms are wonderful and the staff our so accommodating and friendly. The spa prices were very reasonable and I was impressed at the variety and quality of the many treatments they had on offer. The food was delicious with a different menu every day and dinner in the restaurant with the view of the Umbrian hills at sunset was beautiful. The two pool areas were clean and we enjoyed a very peaceful few days of sunbathing. I do recommend hiring a car for your stay as the prices of transfers or taxis are staggering (as taxis have to come from Assisi or Folignio) or if you plan to travel to any of the neighboring towns like Assisi, Montefalco or Perugia which are about 28 mins from the hotel by car. We definitely can’t wait to return soon and stay for even longer next time. Grazie mille bellissima Abbazia Collemedio! "
