"Room was clean!"

"A beautiful private location and retreat during our Hocking Hills mini vacation. The cabin was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and it had what we needed for cooking dinners. There was good and quick communication with our host Cherie.We spent our evenings at the fire pit enjoying visiting with friends and listening to at least 3 different types of frogs. During the days we heard or saw at least 8 different birds passing through. We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub this time but will definitely use it when we stay there again."

"Older hotel but room was clean. Breakfast was decent. Staff was nice. There is not an elevator. The windows are cloudy, assuming because of age. For the price and only being there one night, it was fine. "

"We have stayed here twice before with excellent conditions. This time the shower water was lukewarm and the bed was terribly uncomfortable. It seemed as if the springs were broken. It sagged and creaked. It caused us to keep rolling to the middle of the bed and was not conducive to a good night's sleep. We have raved about the Lodge after prior stays, but this one was disappointing. "

"There was no staff but there was no need. The room was cozy and clean, it served its purpose for comfort. There is on-going remodeling on the second level but I had no problems with it."

"Check in was very easy and fast. The front desk person was friendly. When we went to bed after getting the kids settled in we smelled a urine scent and found it was all over one of the queen mattress."

"Everything was excellent. Easy to find. Private, peaceful and quiet! Very close to Hocking Hills. The only issue (and it was minor) was the supply of hot water, as you must keep the showering to a minimum. "
