This hotel sits right on the water. Despite what the images may make you think, the only available rooms in the hotel are on the geound floor. This is fine, as the area is very quiet. But dont expect grand views of the water from an upper level room-- those are all condos. The reception area is inviting and clean. The gentleman at the front desk was very accomodating.
Parking is across the street at the marina amd is easily accesible. At the time of this review, parking cost $36 for 24 hours with in/out access. A short 5 minute walk takes you to Thames St., which boasts a lot of restaurants and shops.

Hotel was conveniently located. We stayed 4 nights. The service elevator was the only working elevator and we had to obtain assistance from the staff to get to our floor every day we were there. The person who checked us in said we would get one night parking free for the inconvenience; however, we were charged for all 4 days of parking. When I inquired about it, the person at the desk said there were no notes regarding the credit. Therefore, we did not receive what was promised.

This hotel has the potential to be a true 5-star property. The experience was pleasant overall, but there are a few areas that could be improved. The main issue lies with the attitude of some of the female front desk staff, whose approach came across as less than welcoming. In contrast, the male staff members were consistently helpful and demonstrated a genuine willingness to assist. With some attention to customer service training and consistency at the front desk, this hotel could easily rise to a top-tier level.

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Renaissance Hotel especially the location being downtown Baltimore it made everything more accessible. Although the elevators were down the staff compensated me for the slight inconvenience, which was much appreciated. I look forward to staying here again.😊"
