We loved everything about our weekend stay at this cabin! We loved that it was a gated property and helped give us a sense of security. We loved the scene and views! As soon as you pull into Cozy Creek Cabin, you are mesmerized. The creek right next to the cabin is beautiful, relaxing, and so much to explore. There is a near by "lower waterfall" that you can hear along with the creek, all day and night. I loved it! When we woke up the next day, we thought it was raining because we forgot about the sounds, ha!
As we opened the truck door to get out we were greeted by Butterflies all around. There are picnic tables to use, a 4 chair and fire pit station, and a charcoal grill.
Now the cabin. The 1 bedroom cabin was small, but intimate in a good way. Everything needed was there. A fridge, coffee maker (so don't forget to bring your own grounds), pots/pans/dishes, a plug in toaster oven, we used to reheat our pizza from Miguel's Restaurant (highly recommend). Something I don't remember being listed, and I really appreciated, was a filtered water station. Just press the button and cold water comes out! This was especially perfect after a hike! Everything was decorated so nicely, and the view from the window across the bed, was so pretty of the creek! We enjoyed a relaxing couple of hours sitting on the hammocks outside while planning the next adventures.
There are no showers, so make prior game plan. We didn't mind this, we really enjoyed exploring the area and being able to find a place for a shower. The portapotty is right next door to the cabin. Plan for this as well. Especially at night if you're a middle of the night user like me. I stopped drinking water around a certain time to avoid going out there in the dark.
Tips:
-bring a flashlight
-water shoes for sure!
-the trails on the property are so much!
-the 2 Waterfalls right next to the cabin are the 1st ones you will get tk if you follow the trail right outside your door, cross the creek, and begin your journey up.
-take lots of pictures!
-the wifi included was very nice!
-we booked a crystal clear kayak tour at the Gorge Underground. $80 per person for 1.5 hour tour. Great experience. Only 6min from the cabin (KY-11)
-We drove 9min up KY-11 to get to the Natural Bridge area. Went on the ski lift, and crossed the natural Bridge and explored. So beautiful.
-Miguels Pizza, Daniel Boones Coffee Shop, Reddit BBQ, Thatcher BBQ. (Highly recommend all).
-Look up "Creation Falls"
