"There was so much to love about this charming lakeside cabin. The warm pine paneling, thoughtful decorations, and cozy atmosphere gave it the unmistakable character of a true Minnesota cabin. The easy access to the lake was another big plus, and the lake view was simply breathtaking. On our first evening, we were treated to an unforgettable sunset over the water.Unfortunately, the bed was much too firm for both my wife and me. We eventually had to move to the living room, where we slept on the sofa and recliner. Because a comfortable night’s sleep is such an important part of any stay, I felt I had to deduct one star. Aside from the bed, however, we truly enjoyed the cabin and everything its beautiful lakeside setting had to offer."

"Jen was great about communication and offering alternatives after a storm took the power out. The kids were bummed that they couldn’t fish from the dock because there were too many weeds, but they enjoyed taking the kayaks and the paddle boat out and fishing from those. The beach area, fire pit area, and deck area are great places to sit and relax. The inside of the cabin is very cute and had everything we needed. My teenagers loved the separate bunkhouse."

"This home was perfect for our 5 day stay with 12 adults. The layout of the home offers plenty of space for everyone to be together when they want, and privacy for small groups and individuals when they don’t. The lake set up is amazing for swimming and kayaking off the dock, or just enjoying a peaceful sunrise. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking for a houseful and the multiple refrigerators were a real bonus for our food and drink. The communication with Lisa from well before to well after our stay was fast, friendly, and thorough. You can book with confidence, you will not be disappointed."

"We have been renting a place for our family reunion, now 30 people, for the past 15 years. We have never gone to the same place twice. Hillman house was so perfect for a large group that within the first two days we all said "This is the place. Let's sign up again for next time." Hillman house has a great lay out for a large group. It has lots of space for everyone to be together and for quiet conversations to catch up. Our stay was guaranteed with the Pickleball building. Even if it had rained all week we would have had a great time. The place is set up with our stay in mind with towels, shampoo, lotion all available so one could fly in and have an easy stay with just a carry on. Lily was wonderful! She is so easy to work with, always available and very helpful. I am so glad we found Hillman House and Lily."
