Misty Mountain Cabin-2 bed, 1 bath, mountain views and large deck
10/10 Excellent
"This place was amazing! Sarah goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need for a perfect cabin experience in the cascades! Everything about the place was above any expectations I’ve ever had for staying at a vacation house. Very nice kitchen utensils and the house is well stocked with basic food and bathroom necessities "
Newly remodeled off grid river cabin with full services including WiFi
10/10 Excellent
"This property has an incredible location, just above the Cascade River (which you can see and hear from the bedrooms). It's about a 10-minute drive to the restaurants in Marblemount and 30 to the National Park visitor center in Newhalem. The cabin is clean, elegant, and well equipped. The check-in procedure had several steps, but the hosts communicated this clearly (with pictures!) and everything went smoothly. This place is definitely off grid; when we stayed, we needed to boil water, and we were advised that internet and power are sometimes unreliable. That said, there was plenty of equipment in the kitchen for boiling and storing water, and we didn't have any issues with the internet or power during our stay! Note that one of the bedrooms has a door that closes, but the other one is separated from the open-plan living area only by a step and a 3-foot wall.Kids will love this cabin (ours did!), but be cautious whenever any young children are outdoors, because it is so close to a fast-moving river."
Rainbow House Private Annex: Year-round comfort at North Cascades National Park!
10/10 Excellent
"The property is very nice and overlooks some animal farm land with mountains in the distance. The beds were comfy and the kitchen fully stocked with utensils. The location is very close to North Cascades park - we were hiking every day so this was very convenient. Communication was great - Steve responds very fast. We appreciated the access to washer and dryer (separate entry - to be shared by guests of both houses on the property). We also appreciated that the host left bear spray and bug spray inside for guests - at the end of June, it was bug season there. In town, there was a great burger place (forgot the name but it has lot of international flags on top) - the burgers were amazing. Oh ... and if you are into stargazing (I know - it clashes with going to bed early and waking up early), oh boy what a treat ... we were able to distinguish the Milky Way and so many other stars and constellations - there is barely any light pollution so if the sky is clear and the moon is past the horizon, that is a feast to the eyes. If we are back, we would definitely look into staying at the Rainbow house (annex or main) again. "
"Perfect location for a more-than-one-day trip at North Cascades National Park! Hotel was great with cleanliness, service response time, utilities, and location with restaurants nearby within walking distance."
