"Great location for a base to tour Ayrshire. Room was amazing. Only disappointment was dining area at the bar. Most of the seats were needing resprun. My knees were almost up to my ears at one point. Vegetarian menu was poor. Apart from that first class"

"I cannot say enough about the most wonderful staff at this hotel. They were so friendly and accomodating. The meals were superb, and the view from the dining room unmatched. It is to be expected that it is an older building and some things are a little different, make sure if you have mobility issues to ask questions before you go. I did see wheelchair ramps. We truly enjoyed it and wish we had stayed another night or 2 to walk the grounds."

"A really good hotel that had great facilities. Two restaurants with excellent choices. Two indoor pools - one just for hotel guests (the other for guests in the lodges). Several comfy rooms for chilling. Lovely grounds for walks and close enough to walk to Brodick. Everywhere is decorated to a very high standard. The staff are a mix of local and world wide - all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The whole hotel is dog friendly. Highly recommend "

"Beautiful room we had. Modern, clean and comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hot tub over looked the River Clyde and Dumbarton Castle which was pretty amazing."
