My friends and I stayed for memorial day and it was a blast. Would definitely come back! There is sulphur water which isn't a big deal if you know about it beforehand. The view from the dock and upper deck is awesome.
As others have noted, this property could use a little love, but it was just about perfect for us to entertain our college-age son and his friends and for bringing our dog. The setting was peaceful and pretty, and our son couldn't get enough of the lake. I wouldn't recommended it for families with little kids or anyone with physical challenges or squeamishness about a lake cabin that's just a little rough around the edges.
or for anyone with physical challenges
We enjoyed our stay to the cabin. The location is beautiful and the drive in is quite scenic. The dock was nice. We brought our boat and the drive to the marina was about 10 minutes (there is a fee to use the lake). The house was comfortable but could use some love- it’s dated and could use a little maintenance. One item of note not included in the listing was access to the dock, which is via a very steep and uneven set of stairs. Adults with mobility issues or young children may find them very challenging to navigate. Overall, we had a nice stay.
DIY electrical wiring was concerning. Hot tub on side deck had been partially cut up with a saws-all (broken blade imbedded) and had green water in it. Inside we found dirty moldy pans, sticky stuff on cabinets and walls, HVAC filter caked with filth. Pillows reeked of cigarette smoke. Manager offered a 50 discount.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
The property was unlocked when we arrived. This caused some concern for our safety and security. The outside light downstairs has some wires that do not look like they should be hanging out there like it is.( see photo) There isn’t a TV on the main level in the living. You have to go to the basement if you want to look at tv as a group. There is on tv in one upstairs bedroom however. There were mouse droppings in the cabinets on the floor and on top of the dryer. The host offered to DoorDash mouse traps to the home. We declined. There was some kind of dog or cat hair throughout the home. We mopped the floors to make it more comfortable for ourselves. We had issues with the hot water. After one or 2 showers the rest of us were left to shower in cold water. The Murphy bed in the basement needs the slats that support the mattress to be installed properly so no one else is surprised when the mattress gives way beneath them. We had to sleep on the couch. I think this lake house is quaint and in a beautiful location. It needs some TLC and a consistent cleaning service. That wipes the fridge out and cleans up rodent feces. A good pest control service to help with the mice. This can really be a great place to enjoy the lake.
