"Stayed here for work for 2 nights. Everything was, on the whole, good. Staff were mostly helpful, the restaurant was very nice with good food, the room was nice enough and comfortable. If I had to ask the hotel to do better on a few things it would be this: 1. The sinks sit on the table in the bathroom, and hard to clean behind, so it looks like the cleaners just don't bother. Desperately needs a deep clean. 2. Doors and windows in my room didn't lock properly. I did report it, but they were still like it when I left. 3. the WiFi is horrendous. I needed to work in my room, but just couldn't. It's better in communal areas, but still not great. If you need WiFi, you might want to look elsewhere. Being really fussy... conditioner would be good too! I forgot mine, and was abruptly told by reception that there is no conditioner onsite! There were lots of couples and families here too and all seemed to be having a jolly nice time. "

"Location excellent, room and facilities inc. spa very nice. All staff were great, particularly Olivia and Lynsey in the spa and Kacey in the bar and Jess in the restaurant. Will definitely go again x"

"Service, breakfast , spa and hotel are great. We just initially ended up with a bad room, that hadn’t been done up and was very dated and shabby. Reception moved us to a better room on 2nd day."

"Lovely modern decor. Parking at the back - not well signposted Room as described. It had been cleaned, but when we went to put our belongings in a draw, the previous persons clothing, underwear and dirty socks were still in the draw. Stain to the bedding. Use the phone to call reception- it’s was broken. Went to reception, explained this, Daria on the desk was very apologetic, and swapped us rooms with no issues with an upgrade. She was very polite and professional. Theses things happen. Hotel is very clean, and a lovely atmosphere. Opposite the train station, good location and a short walk to the shops and restaurants. We will definitely stay again. "

"This is an old castle so dont expect luxury. The room i was in was dared and lazy but the small nuce but very small. Gym was ok but dated Grounds were fantastic and good parking They had hot tubs but you have to book. Evenn meal was just ok but not alot of choice and expensive but the restaurant was not great to eat in. Breakfast was awfull and ants on my table. I did report this. Id not fo back "

"Great location and proximity to shopping, eating and drinking. Great team in reception and the bar area, nothing was too much trouble for anyone, big smiles and laughs from everyone. Really unique quirky room that was comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. We’ll definitely be back."
