"Outstanding hotel! Loved everything about it. We were visiting for 1 night to do the safari (which was also fab) but wished we stayed another night just to chillax!! Was nicely surprised that their dining prices were no more expensive (in fact cheaper in some cases) than other equivalent properties in Sri Lanka given the remoteness & no other options! Food & staff were great. Lovely pool. Highly recommend."

"Stayed at this hotel for one night. Went to another hotel in Yala. Was not pleased with what I saw. My family and I turned around and went back to stay here for another night. "The hotel and staff are amazing! They were so attentive to our needs and everything was so clean. The hotel had great communication with us through the Expedia app. We able to meet at a local temple for a late hour pick up. The drive in by jeep as the hotel is on the edge of the park! I can’t wait to go again!"

"Our stay at Cinnamon Wild Yala was absolutely wonderful! The resort itself is incredibly luxurious, with beautiful surroundings that make you feel completely relaxed. We loved the little wildlife moments—monkeys and chipmunks even wandered right outside our room, which made the experience feel very special. The food was buffet style with a huge variety of choices, and every meal was delicious. From breakfast to dinner, there was something for everyone, and the quality was consistently impressive. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Every single person we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to be helpful. They made us feel comfortable and ensured our stay was seamless from start to finish."

"This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room itself was dirty—stained bed sheets, no duvet - just a thin sheet, plugs falling off the walls with exposed wiring, clumps of dust and towels that were old and fraying at the edges. There wasn’t even a bottle of water in the room. The worst part? They gave us a room that was already occupied by another guest. Imagine walking into what you think is your room, only to find someone else already there. It was deeply embarrassing and unsettling, and yet there was no apology from the staff. To add to the frustration, when I asked for a spare room key as I was sharing a room with a family member, receptionist told me she’d already given one to the other guest and when I explained that I needed my own as I had a few plans on my own, she rolled her eyes before finally handing over a card—begrudgingly. The corridors were pitch black, with no lighting whatsoever, making it dangerous to walk through. Worse still, the only way to get to the first floor was via an open staircase. When it rained, the floor became slippery, and with no warning signs, it was a complete hazard. The entire experience felt unsafe, unprofessional, and deeply unpleasant. The standards of this hotel had gone downhill significantly. "
