"Unfortunately I have to condense my review to 1500 character and am writing this on behalf of my mother. I aim to be unbiased, but this stay was disappointing, and I hope this helps others avoid a similar experience. To preface, my mother missed the pet fee when booking, but we resolved it on-site, so that’s irrelevant. After a 14hr drive, my mother, wife, and I arrived late with our dog, having informed the host earlier. We were ready to rest, but within five minutes, we were told we couldn’t stay. Host falsely claimed we brought 5 guests instead of 3, contacted VRBO to cancel our stay, and ignored us for 90+minutes, leaving us bewildered at 10:30 pm in an unfamiliar area. When my wife returned to inform me, the host rudely scoffed and locked her out. In hindsight, this was a scam to keep our payment, as VRBO’s policies are inadequate. After four calls, a VRBO agent said a refund wasn’t possible due to policy gaps. Upon reviewing the host’s recent claims, the agent found false harassment accusations against us. The agent called the host “paranoid” and told us to stay, despite our discomfort. Upon entry, we found the unit’s door open and the area unclean, as if someone had just used it. Bugs were present on the third floor. Only after contacting VRBO a fourth time, the host claimed her reaction was due to previous bad renters, which is extremely unprofessional. Unfortunately I’m out of space. Beware renting here and protect yourself."

"Hotel room and areas are a little dated, but are clean. There is a pool, but we did not use it during this visit. Was nice to have it as on option. We used as base to visit Newport, which worked out very well. There are options for dining in nearby towns. Definitely recommend Jukebox cafe for breakfast, and The Aviary Restaurant for dinner. Food was excellent at both, and much more reasonable than what we paid to eat in Newport. "

"2d and 3d story; large, spacious and comfortable property in downtown Warren RI. Short walk to shops; off street parking behind house on Main Street. Comfortable, mid century modern furniture. WiFi-tv, cable. Two kitchens. 5-bedrooms. Timely and responsive communication with owner. Easy access to RI and Massachusetts freeways. Bike paths nearby, as well as local beach. Lots of excellent coffee shops and fine restaurants for dining for breakfast, lunch or dinner on waterfront a short walk away. "

"This property was absolutely disgusting and not well cleaned. It smelled like the room had not been opened in years very musty. The walls had smears all over them, cracked mirrors, hair balls, the fridge and microwave were stained as well as the curtains. I did not feel comfortable sitting anywhere in the room let alone putting my belongings down. "
