The only standout feature of Hotel Prealpina is the amazing view. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was good. Unfortunately, the hotel photos are misleading—the property is much older than it appears. Guests should also be aware that it’s about a 10-minute uphill walk from the station, which can be difficult with luggage. The bathroom had mould and a damp smell, the shower leaked onto the floor, and the sink drained very slowly. The towels smelled unwashed, the fan provided was covered in dust, and the pillows were so flat and uncomfortable that I woke up with a headache. Even the lift had a musty, dusty smell. Overall, despite the beautiful view, friendly staff, and decent breakfast, the cleanliness and maintenance were disappointing, and I wouldn’t stay here again.

We loved our time at Les Loges Annecy. Perfect location. Incredible room. Peter & Sylvie were charming hosts, welcoming, knowledgable and lots of amusing tales.

Very nice hotel. Our only complaints were the people slamming their doors throughout the night. It was loud! Also, hotel is advertised as having air conditioning. There is a thermostat on on the wall however it did not cool the room when we placed it on this setting. We came back about one hour later and it was the same. My husband called the front desk and was informed there is no A/C. If we wanted cooler temperatures we were instructed to open our window. It was a bit too warm for us and very humid in the morning.
