Saint-Fort-sur-le-Ne Holidays

Communication with the host appeared to be quite poor from the very beginning. All the emails and information presented to be detailed but all written in French language only. Other hosts during my trip to France provided all information in at least two languages: French and English. This included information about check in process. Having arrived to this property on Sunday evening its reception presented to be deserted. It meant to be open for 2-3 hours at that time but was closed. After half hour wait I checked emails and concluded from the one written in French language that key would have been left in the safe next to the entrance. In the meantime I tried to contact the host on a number provided but without any response. Having grabbed keys with welcome pack, written also only in French language, went to search for the flat. One of the workers helped me to find it. After few minutes I found few cockroaches in this property. I tried to contact the host but could not get in touch with anyone. No one was available at reception neither, and the worker I had approached earlier disappeared. I had left two of the cockroaches in the glass covered with leaflet and small box on the table in the living room, as a form of evidence, and left the property immediately. I returned the key to the safe and contacted the host via message on Expedia and direct email. I pointed out this issues and requested money back. Few days later and still have not heard back from them. Avoid it.

A lovely hotel and a short stroll to the city centre. The staff are very helpful. There is an amazing choice for breakfast.

This hotel offers a lot but really under delivers. Rooms are good and clean, but the amenities are not as good as described. Given the location of the hotel, which is unique and lovely, you really need to eat at the hotel. The restaurant was not very good at all, food was very bland and massively over priced. 40 euro for a fish dish which was more like a starter. My son had steak and that was very small and was served with red onion that still had outer skin on. Breakfast was mediocre at best, not a much of a selection, so not worth the cost. My son and I were so looking forward to our stay at this hotel but it severly under delivered and for the cost this is not worth the trip.

Nice spacious room.. great location.. good breakfast.. no English TV channels though.. would stay again!
