"Our one night stay at Château Picol was our first experience in a French Château. Our hosts served delicious food, which included local produce. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. "

"Ok for an overnight stop"

"Really enjoyed our stay staff were welcoming room very clean plenty of room. "

"Thierry was a super host, the property was wonderfully maintained and perfect for our needs, and the breakfast was delicious - we’ll be back!"

"The best place to be around Chatellerault, for sure !!"

"The overall experience was good. The staff were very nice and willing to help. The hotel is very French which we liked but the carpet in our bedroom was very stiff hessian and therefore uncomfortable on bear feet The staircases 2 were very steep, very narrow and winding in my view not suitable for anyone with any kind of mobility issues. Breakfast was continental no meat or cheese but more than adequate. There is no restaurant facilities at the hotel however only a 5 minute walk is an IBIS...

"This is an absolutely delightful little hotel with very warm and welcoming hosts, Vicky and Jean Luc, who went well out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful time. Our room was simply lovely and the breakfasts were fabulous with freshly squeezed orange juice, really good coffee and delicious croissants, fruit salads and yoghurts. If you are visiting Poitiers or passing through on your way to other parts of France or Europe it is a complete treat to stay here. We were there for five...

"Staff were good explained everything."

"A clean, comfortable & friendly hotel. Great as an overnight stop"

"Our room was a free standing apartment which was very roomy comfortable and well equipped. The setting and surrounding area was very quiet and relaxing. The dinner was excellent."

"Such a great stay here, whilst travelling through France"

"Nice bed with AC. I came here in heat wave period, AC saved life."

"Very friendly owner. The rooms were lovely and very clean"

"Chambre petite et bas de plafond. Le lit est court (ne pas mesurer plus d’1,70 m) . Pas de télé, ni climatiseur, pas de sèche cheveux ni prise dans salle de bain. Promiscuité avec les autres chambres. Les hébergeurs ne sont pas trop disponibles. Par contre joli domaine bien aménagé à l’extérieur. Ne convient pas aux personnes à mobilité réduite. Pas très bon rapport qualité /prix à mon avis "

"Great host with a beautiful property. I will recommend to all. The breakfast was great and we all appreciated. "

"We arrived after a very long journey and the welcome we received from Charlotte was amazing! She was so helpful and kind in making sure we had everything we needed! The accommodation was super clean and comfortable. And I don't know where to start with the homemade breakfast - we all ate so much as it was all really tasty and fresh. We will definitely stay here again when travelling through France!"
