The Atrium Beach Resort and Spa, an Ascend Collection Resort

10/10 Excellent

"What a gem of a hotel. The staff was excellent, helpful kind and welcoming. The suite was huge, had a full kitchen (not that I needed it) and had a great patio. The pool, white sands beach and bars were wonderful and convenient! I will say the decor/style of the room was severely dated, but so well maintained and clean that instead of feeling old it felt more like going back in time. It’s a compliment! Oh and the ACs were incredibly cold! I had to turn them off! The TVs were lacking, but who needs that on an island? They basically were nothing more than wall decor. The hotel lacked anything beyond basic amenities. But it did not really need them anyway. Overall I enjoyed my stay from the moment I was welcomed and checked in by Ms. Dawn to the moment I left. I’ll certainly come back!"

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Holland House Beach Hotel in Dutch St. Maarten for our 7th wedding anniversary. Holland House's location is right on the beautiful, clean beach with stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the island and beach. The hotel itself was excellent. Our room had a city view; it was very comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a day out. What truly stood out, though, was the staff, with special mention to Ms. Lusianny Matute, who provided excellent customer service and was attentive to our special requests. The bartenders were fantastic, and both the bar and restaurant offered excellent service and great food and drinks. Another highlight is how walkable and convenient the area is. There are attractions, with plenty of shopping and transportation options just steps away. The city is clean, vibrant, and welcoming, which made us feel safe and comfortable throughout our visit. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Also, you can easily explore nearby islands via ferry - we were able to visit the French side of St. Maarten, Anguilla, and St. Barths. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone visiting St. Maarten!"

"The Good: The Staff was very helpful and the location was in very nice spot with Beach that was in the perfect spot to take pictures of planes landing and local businesses in walking distance increased the overall experience. This property is also truly an all-inclusive The Bad: Beware this isn't an Adults Only resort, other than your room and two of the restaurants on the property everywhere else has full families walking around. All the areas that you would want to relax/eat/hangout at will have tons of kids around. The price was too high for me to have to sleep in a hot room, the AC in my room didn't work. There aren't enough umbrellas for the amount of chairs they have in the beach area so be either get there early or prepared to be sunburnt."
