Charming cottage with bay view and garden

Furnished tourist accommodation classified 3 stars.
Small individual house full of charm enjoying a very nice location at the entrance of the city. It enjoys a lovely view of the bay and the port at the front, and has a 150m² garden facing south at the rear, at the end of which passes the tourist train of the Baie de Somme. A private parking space is also available.
The house can accommodate up to 4 people. It consists, on the ground floor, of an entrance hall / cloakroom, a living room with a view of the bay and an equipped kitchen opening onto the garden. Upstairs are the master bedroom with bay view, equipped with a double bed and a cot, as well as the bathroom with wc. On the roof is a second large bedroom with two twin beds.
At the rear of the house is a well-oriented terrace, as well as an outbuilding for garden furniture. It is possible to store bikes and / or strollers.

The rent does not include the optional options offered:
- Bed linen rental (12 euros per bed)
- Bathroom linen rental (7 euros per person)

The rent does not include the payment of electricity. This will be done according to a meter reading at the beginning and at the end of the stay, less a fixed price of 5 euros for the duration of the stay.

Superb

We absolutely love this house and location. We have visited 3 times and never been disappointed with any aspect. We will be back and in the meantime some of our family are visiting in October on our recommendation.

Great location and garden!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely, characterful property located a short walk to the town centre. The garden was great for the children who loved watching the steam train passing by at the end of the garden!

A fabulous holiday home

We had a lovely week long stay here, the house is clean and the location perfect. A wonderful house to enjoy this part of France easy access to the motorway network and a great base to access the cycle network too. Shops are all within walking distance too.

Great little house

Good position overlooking marina, with a nice little garden backing onto the steam railway track. The off-street parking is also a real bonus in St Valery. Short stroll into the town with its many restaurant, bars and shops. WI-FI was reliable, and TV and DVD came in handy on the rainy days.

Great rental overlooking marina

Have stayed here many times and love this house.It has lots of advantages - easy walk to town, great views, lovely garden (see the little steam train go past), BBq, Log burner, off-road parking etc., etc. Many improvements made by current owners. Nice restaurants very close by (would recommend Port De Plaisace and La Canoterie) , for a great meal take the little train to Le Crotoy and eat at L'Auberge de la Marine, it's fantastic. Looking forward to our next visit.

April stay

The cottage is lovely and having a parking space really helped. We were able to walk into the town centre easily. We do think that the property details should stress how steep the stairs are because for some visitors they would be impossible to use.

Great house and location

We returned to this house after a 3 year absence (COVID), to find it was even better then before, as the owners had refurbished the kitchen (having previously refurbished the bathroom). This is a great place to stay - lovely garden , off road parking, great views, easy stroll into the town with its many bars and restaurants. WIFI was good and reliable, TV and DVD player available for any rainy days Overall St Valery is a great place to visit/stay, and this house is perfect for 4 people. One suggestion would be to provide a mirror and somewhere to hang clothes in the upper bedroom, but will definitely return.

Lovely stay

Very good stay in St Valery. The cottage was well situated, just a short walk along the river to everything. The peace was only broken by the train at the end of the garden and a seal having his breakfast outside one morning! The stairs are steep and a touch slippy - my teenage daughter fell once, but this had been flagged up by other reviewers, and no one else had a problem. Something to be aware of, if you have mobility issues. It is a charming house - clearly a lot of thought has gone into it, and there are nice touches everywhere. The garden was a sunny bonus, my children enjoyed it and we managed to have lunch out there using the supplied furniture. We had a brilliant break.

Perfect: location, house, garden and host

Brilliant communication throughout. Very clean and beautiful property. Excellent location: just awat from main hustle bustle but just 5 min walk to town. 11min walk to supermarket inc a Lidl. We love Saint Valery and the surrounding area so this property was perfect fo our family of four (two adults, children aged 12 and 14). Brilliant entertainment on TV - Netflix etc. A bicycle in the shed. Big garden (with Narrow guage train running across the back - Great for train fans). Off street parking on drive next to house - very secure with gate. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended!

Einfach perfekt!

Schnuckeliges Häuschen und toller Ausgangspunkt für viele Unternehmungen, bei denen man das Auto einfach stehen lassen kann. Im Häuschen kann man sich einfach nur wohlfühlen. Es ist liebevoll eingerichtet, alles funktioniert und wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Vielen Dank!

Logement très pratique concernant la cuisine complète et de bonne qualité, la literie de bonne qualité, la salle de douche, le jardin et la place de parking parfaits, mais quelques améliorations sont à apporter : poussière sous le grand lit et sur la tête de lit, four sale, fouet de cuisine à changer et accueil par la conciergerie à revoir (froid et pressé)

Séjour au calme

Belle maison, belle emplacement près de tout bonne communication avec les propriétaires ainsi que la personne de confiance de l’agence. Tout était parfait. Nous avons eu beaucoup de chance avec la météo il a fait magnifique pendant toute la semaine très peu de touristes. Donc nous étions au calme et nous avons pu profiter de chaque moment. Seul petit bémol et encore ce n’était pas dérangeant mais la propreté de la maison n’était pas optimale. La table de la cuisine par exemple n’était pas nettoyée, mie de pain et collante. Mais un petit coup de lavette et c’était déjà oublié.

Charmant séjour automnal à St Valéry

La maison est vraiment adorable, parfaite pour 2 personnes. Elle est totalement conforme au descriptif. Le parking est un véritable atout. La situation de la maison, juste devant le quai, rend la marche vers le centre très agréable, d'autant plus qu'il se trouve à proximité. La saison ne nous a pas permis de profiter du jardin mais lors des beaux jours, prendre ses repas dehors doit être bien agréable. L'accueil et la remise des clés se déroulent avec une grande facilité. Nous reviendrons !

Zu Hause ankommen

Mit meiner Mutter habe ich jetzt schon zum dritten Mal den Urlaub in diesem herrlichen Ferienhaus in Valery-sur-Somme verbracht, weil uns das Haus vertraut ist, fast wie ein eigenes Zuhause. Für zwei Personen hat das gemütliche Haus eine optimale Größe. Die Lage am Ufer der Somme und in Nähe zum Zentrum ist wirklich ideal. Das Haus war wie immer sehr sauber und komfortabel. Der Eigentümer hat in der Zwischenzeit eine neue Küche eingebaut, die keine Wünsche offen lässt. Ein insgesamt stilvolles und unbedingt empfehlenswertes Feriendomizil! Dank gebührt auch der Hauswirtschafterin, die zuverlässig, pünktlich und freundlich die Schlüsselübergabe bei Ankunft und Abfahrt durchgeführt hat. Wir werden mit Sicherheit auch in Zukunft wieder dieses Haus für einen erholsamen Urlaub buchen. Vielen Dank und herzliche Grüße Carsten und Hilde

Charmantes Ferienhaus

Das Haus ist sehr charmant, gepflegt und gut ausgestattet. Gleiches gilt für den Garten. Die Treppen im Haus sind sehr steil. Der eigene Parkplatz direkt auf dem Grundstück ist extrem praktisch, denn anonsten herrscht in dem schönen Ort "hoher Parkdruck" durch die vielen Touristen (zumindest als wir in den Sommerferien da waren). Man kann problemlos zu Fuß ins Ortszentrum laufen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.
