This property sits atop a hill and gives you a great view of the sunset and the city. It is in the midst of beautiful hills with a stunning view of the ocean in the distance. The room is large and spacious with classic furniture with a Victorian touch. The bed was extremely comfortable and cozy. Great place to stay.

Nice stay!

This was a great spot to stay in order for us to check out the entire Monterey Bay region. Even though it’s a little off the main roads, it placed us 25-40 min from all of the main areas we wanted to visit; from Monterey and Carmel by the Sea (maybe 35 max), state park beaches nearby (some 10-15, some 20-25 or further depending on which you choose- Sunset and Pajaro were lovely in the evenings) all the way up past Capitola (25) and Santa Cruz(30) to Felton and Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park (40-45). Easy place to stage from. There’s a small convenience store down the hill for anything from some simple grocery basics to drinks and snacks to dish soap, advil and toothpaste. The driveway hill was awesome to walk in the mornings and at sunset for a little exercise. We loved walking the Elkhorn Estuary looking at birds and other wildlife too which sits just down the hill (don’t do it without tick repellent spray though!). Instant hot water (sinks and shower) was a treat, comfy bed, coffee and tea, microwave and mini fridge, an iron and board, a few beach towels- all the basics you’ll need. Thanks for a lovely place to stage from for the week.
