"We loved spending a few days in Ortigia at the Algila' Charme Hotel. We had a room overlooking the ocean and the busy street outside the hotel entrance. AC was cranking, and the room stayed cool despite how hot it was. The staff were friendly and helpful. A simple breakfast buffet is available daily. They'll even make omelettes for those of us who prefer some protein in our breakfast. The location of the hotel is ideal—walking distance to everything on Ortigia—and the valet parking option is appreciated (since parking is very limited and driving is a hair-raising experience)."

"Sin ninguna duda, la mejor opción para descubrir Sicilia en familia. La villa es espectacular: amplia, cuidada al detalle y con todas las comodidades. La piscina, la terraza, la cocina exterior y el jacuzzi hacen que sea un auténtico lujo pasar tiempo en ella. Además, todas las habitaciones cuentan con aire acondicionado de última generación, algo que se agradece mucho en verano.Si además te gusta el pádel, este es tu sitio. La villa está junto al club de pádel gestionado por la propiedad, con unas instalaciones excelentes.Pero lo mejor de todo ha sido Francesco y su familia. Solo podemos darles las gracias por su hospitalidad y por estar pendientes de nosotros en todo momento. Incluso nos alquilaron su propia furgoneta para recorrer la isla y nos hicieron el traslado desde el aeropuerto de Palermo, un detalle excepcional que demuestra el cariño con el que tratan a sus huéspedes.La ubicación es perfecta para visitar la costa este y sur de Sicilia, incluyendo Siracusa, Noto, Marzamemi, Catania, Taormina o el Etna.Nos vamos con un recuerdo maravilloso y con la certeza de que, si volvemos a Sicilia, volveremos aquí. Absolutamente recomendable."

"Très belle place. Grand domaine avec la résidence des propriétaires et des résidences secondaires autour. 1 air climatisé suffisament puissant pour les 2 chambres, mais pas le salon / cuisine.Laveuse sur place.Si vous avez des enfants, sachez que le module de jeu n'est plus utilisable et qu'il n'y a plus l'énorme trampoline qu'on voit sur les photos. Ce n'est pas grand chose, mais les enfants étaient vraiment déçu.Super belle piscine à débordement.Hôte réactif. Je recommande."

"Very nice hotel outside of busy area but easy to access downtown Ortigia and Siracusa Unfortunately was only there for one night but pool looked wonderful and historic ambiance in hotel was interesting to see. Parking was free and breakfast was wonderful with so many options! Will definitely revisit when I’m the area again!"

"Homely accommodation, very clean and spacious room with bunk bed an TV. The host is very attentive and helpful. Was patient with us and used Google translate to communicate, including travel suggestions. The breakfast had a very good spread, and the highlight was the fresh Sicilian orange juice that the owner made for us himself, every morning! Great coffee too! Parking is just outside. There is a lovely area to sit down in the back of the property, which is nicely decorated. Though no lift, there is a ramp up to the first floor so it was not a problem to get to second floor for us. They can arrange washing clothes or airport transfer for an extra charge. All in all, fantastic experience and would recommend it for anyone in the area.. you will need means of transport to travel about the coast though. "

"The home was very clean, and the communication with the owner was excellent. It was very nice to be greeted with food and drink when we arrived. We had a 3 year old with us, and it is important to note that there are a lot of stairs, both inside and out. There are 4 bedrooms, although the attic room does have low sloped ceilings so head room can be an issue. Also, it doesn’t have a door, and my son found that he was awakened every morning by people in the kitchen. There were heavy rains, and the roof leaked which made the bed unusable. We let the owner know and hopefully it will be fixed soon as they are very responsive. The kitchen is very well equipped. We made most of our dinner meals there after full days exploring Sicily. The outdoor space is lovely, but the weather didn’t cooperate for us so unfortunately we didn’t get to take advantage of the pool or outdoor dining or relaxing. There is plenty of space to park cars, and the location is convenient for exploring east Sicily. However, you do need a car to go anywhere as there aren’t any shops or restaurants nearby. That also means that the property is very quiet, so it depends on personal preferences. "
