"We stayed for five days while visiting Cambria for a on-site wedding, booking one of the higher-priced "Cabin" accommodations. Overall, our experience was mixed, 4/5 stars. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We arrived 2–3 hours before check-in, and our room was already ready. They allowed us to check in early for free and even gave us an extra 45 minutes after checkout at no charge. The amenities were fantastic! The campfires were great in the evenings, the outdoor activities were a nice bonus, and having the beach directly across the street was a huge plus. Unfortunately, the "cabin" room option itself was disappointing for the price. Despite being advertised as a higher-end option, the room felt outdated. The bathtub and faucets had noticeable calcium buildup, there was no A/C or fan provided (thankfully, we brought our own), and the outdated heating system was easily triggered. We also repeatedly had to request additional toilet paper and towels. Calling the front office was rarely effective since they seldom answered; walking over in person was much better. The on-site restaurant, The Cow Tipper, was also very overpriced. I'd recommend skipping the on-site dining and driving down the road instead. There are plenty of affordable local restaurants with great food. Overall, the location, amenities, and staff were great, but the cabin's condition and pricing need improvement. We enjoyed our visit, but wouldn't consider the cabin worth what we paid."

"Beautiful location minutes from the beach. The man at the front desk was nice and helpful during our stay. The doors were a little hard to use entering our rooms but we eventually figured out to turn them upwards ;) We upgraded to the jetted tub rooms and it was absolutely amazing! Much needed after all the walking we did in this gorgeous area. Breakfast was okay definitely better than nothing especially when there’s hot protein offered like bacon and sausages. Room was very clean and housekeeping was amazing during our 7 day stay."

"Hotel staff was exceptional, the rooms are clean and the bed comfy. It is not a fancy hotel, so do not expect an olympic swimming pool (there is one, covered, more than decent size, so you can use it year round) or white glove waiters serving breakfast, but they will do everything to make your stay worry free. The rooms have a small full refrigerator/freezer, microware, toaster and coffee machine. The decor is simple but fun, all about cars and the 50's. The only thing I did not like are the roll down curtains, because light still filters in. Very convenient if you plan to visit Hearst castle, and very affordable too."
